I've heard Grunt sends Shepard a letter if he and the Arlakh Company(spelling!DX) survive!
But shouldn't you let the rachni queen die in order to save his company? ;_;

Yes, but if you saved Rachni Queen in ME1 you should let the company to be sacrificed.

If she was killed in ME1 and you got that clone, let her die and save that company.

Incidentally, if you end up with Kirrahe sacrificing himself to save the counciler, does a) he still have a similar fight scene with Leng, and Shepard hiss "THAT WAS FOR KIRRAHE, YOU SON OF A ****" when s/he introduces Leng's internal organs to an omni-blade?

Yeah, I kinda think Bioware dropped the ball there. I mean, I love that Shep got to name Leng's death for Kirrahe or Thane but...Kirrahe's last stand wasn't given Thane's special treatment. And while I can understand that....it did feel like a bit of a kick in the teeth for an STG supporter like me.

This guy plowed through Virmire with me, was at my side AGAIN on Sur'Kesh...and he goes down like that? It made me sad less because of the death itself but more because of how quick it was.

As to why he didn't just shoot Leng, well....I can only assume there wasn't enough time and it was all he could do to put himself between Leng and Valern...

And while he didn't die in my playthrough? Admiral Zaal'Koris Vas Qwib Qwib. That guy really stepped up in this game, and it's entirely possible for him to die so his crew can survive. Maybe not on par with the big sacrifices of the others, but seeing a quarian with such integrity really made me proud.

 Been wondering if Grunt's fight with the rachni is a nod to River in 'Serenity.' The way he says "my turn" and then proceeds to demolish the reavers rachni until he gets overwhelmed and you think he's been killed...until a few moments later when you realise he's come through it.

Sad to think that majority of these Heroes' sacrifices are completely and utterly useless in terms of the current endings. First time playing through, I cried like a baby, but know with my second playthrough I cannot even shed a single tear for even Mordin's heroic death all because I know is that their sacrifices are in vain.

Though I'm am very sad and angry at the same time.
Sad at this heroes, angry at Bioware for screwing up endings to be artsy..
