I'm playing a warden that I may consider canon. I want to make sure that he makes the correct choices:
1.  In the "scrolls of Banastor" quest, does the patron want the scrolls so that he or she can become a blood Mage?
2.  In the "blood of warning" quest, are the people that you're warning actually blood mages?
3.  Does the Mage's Collective work with and accept blood mages?

Thanx. :)

The Mage's Collective really is left up to the imagination of the player. All the quests read suspicious to me. Maybe they really are trying to do good. Maybe they really are trying to do do good but a few bad apples got in and are manipulating the Warden. Maybe they are all evil mages and they are just being manipulative.

It's really up to your imagination. The game never provides a definitive answer to the questions you ask.

3. The point of the Mages Collective is supposed to be, as far as I can tell, that they police themselves. By not slaughtering innocents, summoning demons or 'being evil', they theoretically don't attract templar attention. Blood magic, arguably, is not evil of itself. The Collective may accept blood mages so long as they don't go nuts with their powers, but in the end we don't know and Hanz is right that it's left up to our imaginations.

The Scrolls of Banastor, for instance, definitely sound dangerous if you read them. But we don't know why they're being collected.
