I am having issues involving extreme latency issues, that quickly result in disconnection.
My first question is, quite obviously, is anyone else IN AUSTRALIA having this issue?
My second question is, does anyone know if ME3 has a built in "detect if latency is over 300 and boot them from the game" built into it?
After quite some research, I have found the following:
- ME3 is peer to peer (P2P). No server connection is required once the game actually commenses, up until the game concludes.
- ME3 does connect, using P2P, over LAN, so once the game starts, it is extremly smooth over a LAN.
- There are no settings to change latency allowances, or define your connection speed.
So with all this in mind, I would, if anyone can assist, give answers to the above questions, and share your expereinces with these issues.
I am making a forum in ME3 Multiplayer section of the forum, for anyone IN AUSTRALIA to add their Origin ID, for PC ONLY, to be able to be added to my frineds list, or others in Australia, and play locally within Autralia, which is my one and only solution as of this time. I will repost if further information, or a simpler solution, becomes available.

Yeah I've had similar trouble (Australia here too) but only been disconnected a couple of times. Would be interesting to see some stats comparing overall MP scores vs. the country the host of the game is in - as it's damn annoying trying to shoot things which moved on ages ago.
I guess more work could be done server side so 'Quick Match' favoured picking local country connections as they would definitely improve things.

I'm from australia too and I can't even get into games, I start up a quick match and it just gets stuck on "searching for games" for like half an hour, if it manages to find one I get instantly kicked and it says I either lost connection or the host is migrating. It's really annoying because I want to max out the galactic readiness which I can't do if I can't even play MP.

I've had problems where my Aussie friends get disconnected as soon as we start a match and I'm left all by my lonesome self. It's quite disheartening. T_T

Put your Origin ID in:
http://social.biowar...3/index/9861832
That will allow others in Australia to add you. Sadly, Australia > [Elsewhere], will cause that disconnection / latency issue, and as of yet, there is no fix for that. I am hoping BW/Origin/EA or anyone else with ME3 influence, will add either a Continent-Quick-Play option, or fix the latency drop outs in some form (however they go about that). I'm hoping for the first option right now, as Australia > [Elsewhere] is still 250+ latency as a bare minimum, realistically, due to sheer geographical distance. Sad but true. Still, here's to hoping they make "Public" into "Public-Everywhere" and "Public-Australia" and "Public-US" and "Public-Mars" for you inter-planetary players. Your latency must be huge! (And yet probably less than Australia...)

Origin is back up again. Friends List wise, that is. If you are in Australia, please go to:
http://social.biowar...3/index/9861832
Put your Origin ID there so others in Australia can Friend you. Please do not put your Email Address, I dont want to cause you spam of any sort.

Good to know... is is really ahrd to say waht is wrong sometimes... And I couldn't play with friends yesterday... and when you are dissconeted, especially when you are a host, and can't even say sorry, when you play with random ppl... thet is not good.
Is there any way to chat? I can only know how with the ppl from my friends list..
@Shagz6 - put everything in random. That will help ... only thing i chose is bronze/silev/gold.
never have a problem. ALways full in seconds..
I have a very good and fast connection, that could helps me... but I don't know...
I'm most furious when my character can't get any new ammo, cant interact with enemies so I become uselees. And the worst case scenario - when I'm the host, so I have no heart to dissconest nad throw ppl away.

I have found the easiest solution, if you wish to play internationally: Stay still. By all means, shoot, use powers, but do not move from your starting spot. You make it thru a wave, great you will auto-res. Perhaps not physically, you might remain a corpse on the ground that can still shoot, but better than nothing. In my experience so far, the more you move, geographically on the map, the worse you make it. I have made it thru entire games with 1500+ latency, by standing still. I have, on occassion, even dared to move very short distances to slightly more secire locations, but im talking about 5 seconds of walking, tops. If you do choose to move, never press spacebar to run or crouch or leap over something, it gets very confused then. That really is all I can offer at this point, beyond the part about only playing others you know are in your region.
Oh and I also noticed that if I host, and others join, the person who gets disconnected for latency issues is ME, and NOT the other players. ME3 is checking who has the worst connection and removing them, regardless of the hosting situation.
So... I should mention also: IF you play with others on your frineds list, make it PRIVATE ! .. failure to do so -may- result in one player not from australia (or surrounding regions) joinign, and causing you to ALL get booted. It does happen. So yeh.. Private Games, Invite Friends using Origin ID, go from there. Or likewise with other platforms, however they work.
Good luck and enjoy ME3 !!
