I don't really know if this constitutes as a technical problem, but I can't find my bin_ship folder and it's keeping me from downloading quite a few mods that I would really like. I have the physical copy, I didn't download it from steam, I've searched the whole of my documents and nothing even remotely close to the bin_ship folder.
I can't find the bin_ship folder.

I have the same problem. I created a topic, but no one seems to know what's wrong.
By the way, I thought I 'd mention that when I click the icon on downloaded mods, it tells me that it cannot find the DAUpdater.

Where are you looking for it?
It is usually located in the Dragon Age folder (the one where you have installed it not the one with your profile data).

Well, I can download mods that have to do with the character creator or changing the appearance of a party member, but when it comes to camp add ons(respec mod, winter forge), I put them in almost every subfolder in the Dragon Age folder, but nothing happened. I really hope I don't have to uninstall and then reinstall the game to get it.
edit: I used the search function on my documents and nothing came up, and then I went through every folder in the Dragon Age folder and nothing relating to the bin_ship folder or the DAUpdater.

If you want to place them into the profile folder yourself (no recommended) you should look into this path:
[where ever your personal data are saved]\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\AddIns\\
Here you can add the folder from the .dazip, which usually includes additional folders (core and module) and a .dds.
Again: I haven't tested it and I wouldn't recommend it.

Ok, thanks for the advice, but I actually found. I just searched all the files in my computer and it popped up.

Where is the folder on Vista? I'm told it's "where I installed it" but I'm not sure where that is.

...\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship
If you really don't know where you installed the game, you can check the shortcut it made on your desktop. I don't use Vista but it shouldn't be too tough to find.

i know its late but i think this might help. im on vista and i have the game on disk, didnt download from steam. i found the bin_ship. first i went into my computer, where it shows all my drives and so on. then i went into drive C for me its really called "OS (C:)" in there is "program files" i clicked on that found the dragon age file, wich is on its own and not in a bioware folder. clicked on that and then the bin_ship is right at the top. if you notice that i didnt post a link/path to where it is, this is beacuse it wont find it if you "search" the path
