So the installer opened Origin and asked my serial, I typed it in and it said that it's been now registered to my account. On the next screen it said that this serial isn't for this game and asked me type it again. I did it and it said that the serial is already in use.
I can't get past this to install the game from the disc, though I can download it through Origin because it has been registered to my account, disc installer just doesn't recognize it for some reason.
Can anyone help?

BTW, thanks for the awesome software EA and even more awesome customer service.

So EA answered and said to start the download and then copy the files from the disc to install folder. Helped nothing

Dont bother, phoning is the only way to get support.
Tickets never get answered, the guy at EA support even agreed Origin sucks, lol.

Step 5 worked for me too with a slight modification:

1. [System Drive]\\ProgramData\\Origin\\DownloadCache\\ delete all files inside this folder
2. Close Origin process by right-clicking taskbar > Start Task Manager > go to Processes tab > find Origins.exe *32 > right click > select End Process
3. load up DVD wait for autorun
4. Origin will load - login
5. Enter your code if prompted (and haven't done so already)
6. installation from disc should begin.

Apparently number 1 is the most crucial step.
