How many can you unlock from each squadmate? How many can you have unlocked by the endgame?

Some squadmates unlock 2 bonus powers some only 1.

Garrus- Proximity Mine, AP ammo
Tali- Def Drone, Energy Siphon
Liara- Stasis
Ashley- Marksmanship
Vega- Fortification, Rampage
Jarvik- Dark Channel
Edi- Def Matrix. Decoy

You also get Reeve from Samara if you save her.

Off the top of my head these are the bonus powers you can get.  You also get Warp ammo from someone but i cannot remember if it was Jack or Liara

Warp ammo is from Liara.

I didn't get Reave from Samara. How do you get that? I saved her. I also have Slam, from Javik.

Here's my list:

Decoy
Def Drone
Energy Drain
Inferno Grenade
Stasis
Warp Ammo
Defense Matrix
Fortification
AP ammo
Slam
Dark Channel 

So that's 2 each, no Reave:?

Reave and Barrier are Kaidan's bonus powers.

Also Vega gives Carnage (Rampage is a typo I guess). Still need to play more of my Ashley run but I guess Inferno Grenade is also from her.

Right that makes sense. Ash gives Marksman and IG, yep.

The bonus powers are given, AFAIK, in stages. First one (Fortification, Inferno grenade,Warp Ammo, AP ammo, Defence Matrix, Slam, Barrier, Energy Drain) is unlocked when you first meet/talk to the character. Second one (Carnage, Marksman, Stasis, Proximity Mine, Decoy, Dark Channel, Reave, Defensive Drone respectively) after some talking to the character.
Talking to all available characters after every mission should do the trick. I seem to miss Stasis, even though I talked to Liara all the time and even romanced her.

Barrier - Kaidan Alenko, After recruiting him back
Armor-Piercing Ammo - Garrus Vakarian, First Talk
Proximity Mine - Garrus Vakarian, Talk before Take Back Earth Mission
Defense Matrix - EDI, First Talk
Decoy - EDI, Talk before Take Back Earth Mission
Defense Drone - Tali'Zorah, First Talk
Energy Drain - Tali'Zorah, Talk before Cerberus Base Attack Mission
Slam - Javik, First Talk
Dark Channel - Javik, Talk before Take Back Earth Mission

Powers I haven't gotten:
Reave - Kaidan Alenko, talked to him after every mission and never got it.
Inferno Grenade - Ashley Williams, playthrough in progress.
Marksman - Ashley Williams, playthrough in progress.

do they stay unlocked for all characters. cuz i always kill kaidan and so id like to know if you only get them once or if its character specific.

i know how to unlock the tallents i just dont know if i unlock a tllent if it is unlocked in all games or just the one you unlocked it in. id love to get reave but i never play with kaiden i always save ash. long story short if i have an adept where kaiden is dead can i still get the talent from him by unlocking it in a other characters run of am i ''locked'' out of it with that character.

Are you sure you unlock Warp Ammo on first talk with Liara? I am past the first Palaven mission and she still hasnt given Warp Ammo to me.

I'm sure. It might be a bug/glitch with you not getting it. Did you unlock Stasis from her?

As in, we need to import another save game file where Ashley is alive assuming my current save file has Kaidan as the Virmire Survivor in order to get her bonus ability? Or does playing through the NG+ automatically nets me her ability?

Anyone have info on where/when or specifically how these are unlocked? I pretty much talk to everyone on the crew after every important mission. Completed first playthrough with 13/14, and did not get Stasis (might have just skipped talking to Liara at one point). Need to do another playthrough for Reave/Barrier as well.

ok i spoke to EDI after she got her new body, askeds all the 'investigate' questions but dont have DM unlocked...what have i done wrong?

All squadmates give you two powers. Liara gives you stasis and warp ammo, Ashley gives you Inferno Grenades and Marksmanship, and Javik gives you Slam and Dark Channel.

And Jack isn't a squadmate.

I'm in the same boat, and no, I didn't get Stasis from her.

I'm getting a bit sick of glitches in this game. When is it supposed to unlock? I haven't done Sur'Kesh yet.

Did you get Warp Ammo? Thats the bonus power I'm after, and I still haven't got it post-Palaven.
