Mind if I were to say - without the relays there is no Mass Effect as such. If my memory serves me correctly - in ME1 it said this was the Mass Effect - the relays.see_kay wrote...
No. Shephard's story ends here, good or bad. It's time for new cast of characters to take over for the next iteration of mass effect franchise.

Only if by Mass Effect 4 they mean Mass Effect 3, Part 2. The game so epic they realized they had to split it in half.
I wouldn't be happy about being misled but I'd still play it (probably).
I kinda think the same thing. But I am OK with Shepards story ending (in 3) if the ending made sense.

Well title says it all, Bioware should stop noobing out and bring Shepard and the core companions back in ME4.
I dont understand why Bioware wants to stop the Shepard story in Mass Effect, they should make it so that Shepard IS Bioware just like Master Chief IS Xbox.
Lets be honost for a moment, most of us (if not all of us) want Shepard to continue his Legacy as the main character in future Mass Effect games, and we want to see the core companions back aswell.
So Bioware, stop trying to make things a hell of a lot more complicated and keep it simple... Gives us Shepard and his team back in future Mass Effect Games! That way you keep everyone happy AND you make alot more money... It really is that simple...
P.S Im not english and im trying my best to word what im thinking, sorry if i messed it up a bit
Damn straight OP, at this point I can't imagine playing another ME game without the Shepster.

No, no thinking anymore, Shepard is Mass Effect. That's it.
There is a great potential (or it's just my rich imagination), but Shepard has a lot more to say. Shepard IS Shepard for a reason. And you don't have to have Reapers as enemy, every good writer can make even worse enemy (You don't have to believe me, but it's true, tried that with my writings, "turn the tide" works pretty fantastic if done correctly). It can be done perfect and correct. They don't have to end this trilogy with Shepards end, only the Reaper one.
I see the great potential (if they fix this nonsense of ending properly).
I'm so sorry if BW has stepped into the grey zone and lacks sights.
EDIT: There is a great deal with that stupid thing what they did in the first place by saying "This was ment to be only a trilogy". They have a great story. Why limits? No good. Don't force/put limits in peoples minds if you already gave them a great story. I really hope that they do want to make a serious business
And yet then, they told us there will be more ME games, but without Shep. I kinda don't believe that they will stay at this thought.

Agreed, agreed, agreed, agreed, agreed ... short-sighted imho, to call Shep's story a definitive "trilogy." Always a bad idea to limit yourself with a creation, especially if it's a hit ...

Also I don't really want to keep having to buy more and more mass effect games simply because I want to find out what happens to shepard and his buddies. but yeah

shepard as a random character you can met or decendents of her (prefably asari shepards XD)
one thing i can se if you had a romance where a child is produced you can be that child as an adult in future games. if its an asari they add some years in the prolouge or if human you are the grandchild of shepard

Personally, I thought ODST was an incredible stand-alone title. I loved the Rookie, I loved the game, and I thought the story was the best in the Halo series short of Halo 1 itself. So to say that Mass Effect can't exist without Shepard is to take a stance that argues against precedent.
