if shepard survied maybe a crewmember or a random meetable character and that wuld be awesome.

so if you romanced someone in mass effect 3 and its possible in that relationshipt to produce a child the new character is still shepard just a decentand.

I'm completely fine with the idea that ME3 is the last we ever see of Shepard, this is his arc, that's it. The feeling I was expecting to get was mostly happiness with sorrow that the whole thing had finally ended. That...isn't what I got.

What's not OK is that ends on that note. The problem with the ME3 ending is that it is supposed to be the final note, the end of the series for this crew. It's a disservice to everything the fans loved about Shepard and his crew and the investment they had in the universe.

If they're planning a ME4 with the real ending ME3 is supposed to give us...uh...OK I guess, just don't screw it up. But that's got to be less than 1% possible.

No, I just want my DLC/expansion with an ending bundled in to give me hope and make things happy/at least worthwhile. They could have at least standed Shepard with the crew. That would have been way better.

First of all, Master Chief is Halo, not xbox. 2nd of all, this isn't entirely correct, Halo: Reach and Halo wars are different altogether.

Though I do agree that Shepards story should not end. I wish it could go on forever. Right up until Mass Effect 8 on the next-next gen console where we literally become shepard lol. Too far?

But the harsh reality is it takes more than what we, or even the devs want. Maybe Jen and Mark want to move on to other projects? who knows.

True, but Bungie didn't mess up Halo series. They ended it properly. And no one can blame Bungie for any cliffhanger..

Also I don't want to play Shepard again, not because I don't like him or anything, but even with Mass Relays gone, there are plenty of things to learn and explore. We can play as a descendant(a hundred or two hundred years) from someone in Feros, who has unusual abilities because of the thorian. I just made this up, so don't judge me  about not being creative its just an example. But Shepard's story is over with ME3 (and perhaps with its future DLC).

I think the idea is that shepard won't end up like master chief... a cash cow called in to do a song and dance when the company's strapped for cash. the ME trilogy was shepard story, with ME3 ending his story, hence the very Final endings. I would like ME4 (or whatever they name it) will be like DA:O, another of bioware most acclaimed masterpieces, and allow you to play as a krogan or a turian etc. Maybe another spectre in the far future or past, or a c-sec officer. I would like a ME mmo somewhere in the far future (very far), so we could explore the MEverse freely. But I don't want an MMO now, and I doubt bioware would consider doing one before swtor will run its course. I do want more games in the MEverse, and like ME in general. I would like to see where bioware would go with this, and I'm corious if they have any RPG in planning, other than DA3, maybe in a different setting all together. That's why i'm so excited about bioware doing C&C:generals. It's importent will play their strength, and make it a story driven RTS, because there are very few of those, the prominent among them is starcraft. I believe bioware storytelling capabilities are far superior to blizzard's, because of their vast experience in RPG's. Right now the only self proclaimed RTS/RPG that I know of is the king arthur one, and bioware can deffinitely corner that market. I mean, if they make an RTS where your choices truly matter, and carry over to sequels? the RTS crowd would go crazy over it!

It was a trilogy in terms of Shepard's Story in the ME GAME world.

There are already books and comics focusing on other people which are fantastically written and work very well. ME4 can be a prequel or sequel in terms of the timeline for all I care it will be GOOD regardless if it's done properly.

I look forward to new faces, new worlds, new stories, goals, good guys and bad guys.

What I want first though is this games ending to either be explained OFFICIALLY and to make sense or it to be remade so it actually makes sense and closes the story.

Look to continue shepards story, they'll need to stick three vastly different games on the disk, and that not feasible. Or atleast three extremely ludicrous explaination of why shepard is suddenly back in action... Which is two more than your normal ME fan is willing to accept without raging over...

Im pretty sure most of us dont want a shepard-based ME4, we want CLOSURE, we want a true epilogue and true closure for shepard, his crew, and the species at large. I dont want things to be dragged out into another game. This is the end, so it should be ended well.

i don't mind my shepard not be the main character in ME4 but what i do mind is the fact that no mather what my sheppard dit it will just be dismissed in ME4 no little blue children, no old shepard walking around giving you tips on how to do W/e, no galactic civilisation, no Normandy in a museum and no fracking idea of what appened to his crew

If they do another ME game, it should be set far enough in the future that any choices you made (in Shep's story) can be manipulated safely without invalidating player canon from the original trilogy.

Shepard and his companions *IS* Mass Effect. No Shepard = No Mass Effect. Simple as that.
