I didn't want the Warden back in DA2, the Warden's story finish in Awakening.

I don't want Shepard back for ME4, Shepard's story was SUPPOSED to finish in ME3... then the endings happened.

I can't see myself playing a Mass Effect game without Shepard.. Would just feel... wrong...

Oh btw, Masterchief is to "Bungie" what Shepard is to Bioware... Not xbox..

Otherwise you end up like the Star Wars Expanded Universe where they get to fight for about 40 years, then get half the galaxy destroyed, then eventually have the whole galaxy fall under control of the Sith again.

Great, I got to watch my heroes boldly lose the galaxy.

I would like it either way to be honest. A new hero would be fine too so long as my Shep is off living with her LI somewhere nice and cosy.

I think keeping Shep around for too many more games ( and companions etc ) becomes a lot more complicated as more and more characters can live or die and more choices are made along the way, new characters introduced and what not. They really have to draw the line somewhere. As much as I love Jennifer Hale's voice acting and I will truely miss it with a different hero I think Shepard's about done or it'll get too complicated.

Regardless if we get the option to have multiple endings and one of them has Shepard and crew surviving...

Shepard should NOT return on any other game, and the same should be applied to every major character of the saga. No more Wrex, no more Garrus, no more Tali, no more Liara on any future game. If they survive or not, does not change that their story and Shepard's is over.

For a story to end you don't need to kill the main character either. Remember Dragon Age? even if your Warden survives, BioWare stated that the story of the Warden is finished.

Well, Star Wars was originally a trilogy as well, but then it exploded into six episodes. If they can make Halo 4 (regardless with Master Chief or not), why not Mass Effect 4?

But I'd love to see more of Mass Effect. Some other cool story. Not as wide though. More focused on a smaller area. (Not as small as DA2 though xD)

They have pretty clearly stated there will be more games in the Mass Effect Universe. Actually they have pretty well been saying that all along.

If they pull a Halo 4 on us I will be even more disappointed. I mean, ignoring the inherent ethical quagmire of bringing him back for more $$, how on earth would they do it? EDI somehow finds a way to reconstitute the atomized Shepard's form from her brand-spanking new carbonate-silicate DNA? Clones? Or would they follow Lucas down the well-thought-out path of the prequel because we all know that turned out well.

Nah, if there is a ME4 (and Maker knows there will be), it won't be Shep's story.

Id prefer they do another RPG in the same Universe leabout 100 years after Shep, so we could still see some familiar faces like Liara, Wrex, etc..

However I would like for it to allow the player to play as any species. Turian, Asari, Salarian, Human, Krogan, all of them would be fun to play a character as. Lots of possibilities with this Galaxy.

I dont understand why Bioware wants to stop the Shepard story in Mass Effect, they should make it so that Shepard IS Bioware just like Master Chief IS Xbox.

Lets be honost for a moment, most of us (if not all of us) want Shepard to continue his Legacy as the main character in future Mass Effect games, and we want to see the core companions back aswell.

So Bioware, stop trying to make things a hell of a lot more complicated and keep it simple... Gives us Shepard and his team back in future Mass Effect Games! That way you keep everyone happy AND you make alot more money... It really is that simple...

If bioware can make the ending a fitting one i will be happy and can leave it behind me ,

Personally i dont need to see shepard return , the mass effect universe is large enough
and there are many opertunity for it i dont think bioware is done with the mass effect universe
and it would be refreshing to see what else they can do with it , if thye would bring shepard back
i think it would become to much of a drag you cna only go so far with a certain idea , but iam
sure that thye have more idea's  so yeah shepard should get a worthy endind that he/she deserves
in me 3 and after that.. its prety much open i for one ( depending on the outcome of me 3 ) 
am interested to see what they can do with the rest of the me universe.

I don't think the other characters need to go. They should appear in cameo at least. I can't imagine a Mass Effect game without Garrus or Tali. Shepard I could, but not Team Dextro. Unless this is 100 years later. Liara should also still show up in the game, shes only like 109. They do live to be a 1000 afterall.

Close the triology with a worthy ending. Then move on to create something new and epic. Under no circumstances do we need an abuse of the universe DA2 style. Fix the ending and let it rest as one of the most epic gaming experiences ever. Mission accomplished.

Guys, they SPECIFICALLY said this was the end of his story.

Dead or alive, there are no more games with him in it.

We've had over a year to come to terms with that, as they have said that over a year ago. Why is this popping up now?

For me, Shepard is Mass Effect.

If they fix this ending, I would maybe be interested in another ME game or games, with Shepard (I would really love that because there is a great potential always) but if they plan out to go with completely new character, I just hope that they will give a job again to Jennifer Hale as a female leading role. The only other woman who can make such a great job like Hale did would be Claudia Black.
If they give a main role to either one of this two great women, I'll consider a new char to be worth my time (but they need to fix this ending first!)

Possible , enough characters and content available..
But i would not like them to create a MMO no offence but Star Wars wasnt what i expected
played it couple weeks now its shelved , i think there strenght is better in a singleplayer
story doesnt have to be a trilogy.. but i cant imagine in the whole mass effect universe that
shepard is the only story that can be told.
