Obviously you're not a fan, probably only played ME3 in action mode(didn't make any choices).
What you're missing is... Many 'Fans' have Played x2 40hour+ games, some people have racked up over 200 hours, only to get trolled at the very last moment.
That is something many find hard to just 'let go' when they trusted a company to deliver.

Look, I can understand all the sadness around the endings...But I don't think Bioware is going to do anything about it. The game is completed and has been released as it is right now...They won't change it anymore. Also, I think that even if there comes a DLC with happy endings, most people will still feel as if they've been screwed by Bioware, so yeah... :\\

I've played over 20 times to ME1 and ME2. I'm don't have any problem with the ending in itself. Only the lack of detail of the fate of the -spoiler-

I could imagine how 400+ hours could make you hallucinate after experiencing ME3's ending. Don't worry it makes sense why you don't feel trolled at all. Just make sure to get medical attention soon, as the ending sinks in you're going to be feeling differently, much differently.

Seriously though? Deep personal investment? I played ME1 and 2 to death and was far too excited for ME3, but I wouldn't say I have deep personal investment. Just a great enjoyment. The ending wasn't what everyone imagined, but since when has anything hyped ever ended as expected? People would just complain it was predictable. which I guess makes the current one controversial! I dunno, is this post just white noise? I think so...

Couldnt agree more on that.
I mean if Bioware changes the ending for the haters into a happy ending, or for thhe romantic people so shepard could stay with the rest than they also had to write a cure for Thane so the Thane fans would get their happy ending too. People should just leave it as it is and move on. I myself like the ending.
