So honestly it's all speculation till the big question is answered, is it free or is it not.

They aren't giving a new ending, they're just expanding on the ones we have. They have said as much. It won't be free, I'm certain.Krunjar wrote...
I understand the guys saying "Bioware isn't a charity" etc. And honestly theres no telling what bioware/ea's motivations are till this supposed ending dlc actually comes out. If it's free then we can assume that the ending was cobbled together in response to a leaked ending too close to the release date. In which case we deserve our ending as part of the rather steep price we paid for the game in the first place. If the ending was however intentionally cut short in the hope of making a quick buck then this is like selling you a black and white version of a movie you believed to be in color and then trying to charge you for color. And this will be evident if we have to pay to see the real ending.
So honestly it's all speculation till the big question is answered, is it free or is it not.

Why should it be free? Developing a product requires time and resources which in turn require money. Gaming is not charity, this is a business and they're entitled to sell what they work for.
Just because you were not satisfied with the product you purchased before does not entitle you to get their next product for free. You don't like it, don't buy it but don't think anyone is somehow entitled to a free service now.
Well put. I agree, and EA would never conisder that an option anyway

Because the ending was quite clearly rushed and didn't fit the game what so ever. Also, there is a good buisness reason to do it for free, it saves face after the terrible ending. If they release it at a cost or just ignore it, their reputation will likely stay low and their profits will suffer for it.
And last thing, shut up about gamer entitlement.

guys i dont really know if its just stating the obvious or you figured out it too, but if that dream/halucination theory is true and real endings will be in DLC, or if BW listens and will make fixed ending DLC in future, IF its not free, DONT buy it. i know we all want to see this huge problem fixed, and some would even pay for it, but I saw this as some marketing test. if BW will succeed in ,lets say, 15 USD ending DLC, soon every company will start selling games in pieces. get us hooked to game and then BAM - "please pay 15 bucks to see how this amazing game ends". thank you for reading this
I would probably buy it... hell I would have paid 100 bucks for ME3... As is I spent over 80 and that was the most I've ever paid for a video game.
That being said I agree it sets a bad presidence and it would likely hurt the odds of me buying future games. But it is planned out that way (SC2) then I would be fine with it... companies need to give what they promise, and fully disclose what they plan to do with expansions and DLC... BIOware has always said they would do a pile of DLC so its not unexpected.... but they also said they would provide an ending that wasnt abc choices and would factor in your previous decisions... so who knows.

Option 1: The DLC is free, finishes the endings and that is all
Option 2: The DLC costs £5, finishes the endings and adds a multiplayer level, maybe a new gun.
Option 3: The DLC costs FULL DLC price, finishes the endings, adds loads to multiplayer, new missions for Single Player and new guns and armour.
I pick Option 3 Personally. I want more Mass Effect! I want the endings complete but I fear that when they are and I've played them (All Variations) that I'll forget about Mass Effect and it'll just end up wasting Hard Drive Space. Bioware can't develop anymore games with Shepard. Or I at least hope they won't They need to give Dragon Age 3 a try and leave Mass Effect as the greatest game series of all time. I'll vote for that, as soon as the endings are out that is.

Another game I know of was Tomb Raider Underworld(sort of).2 Xbox Exclusive DLCs,that took place after the ending were released for 800 MS Points each(I think that was the price).
I really hope we'll get some closure for the ending cause ME3 was perfect until the last 10 Minutes.I'd really like a DLC that fills at least the plot holes.
I'm just wondering,if they didn't plan anything,why is the clip,where Shep takes a breath,in the game?

}(+){
-dialogue choices are lot less but differ greatly compared to rest of the trilogy
-better controls(cover usage, running, tumbles)
-character relationship feels more alive( both between crew members and shep with his/her LI )
}(-){
-story is silly (that crucible **** is so dumb)
-tailored for multiplayer
-retarded and uninteresting sidequests(eavesdropping)
-plot of other trilogy games was changed for some retarded( or just extremely bad executed) technological singularity idea
-despite refusing they still failed with day one dlc, as to there is no reason to not include such valuable content in the game
-reapers are dumb (oh hi dere Sovereign)
-Cerberus and TIM storywise potential is COMPLETELY WASTED
-retarded antagonist (that asian assassin is so retarded, i almost felt like i was watching some stupid anime)
thats not all

'If' they were smart, they would have split Mass Effect 3 into episodes like Valve did with Halflife 2.
But no, they were stupid. This is the outcome of that decision.
Errr... Episode 3?

For all those saying "Bioware isnt a charity" no of course its not. It's a business and making this a paid DLC is a bad business decision. Why? They will ****** of a lot of people. Everyone I talked to is already pirating the game because I told them they MIGHT be making paid DLC for the ending. That is 8 sales EA/BW have already missed simply by not being clear on the issue.
Furthermore, whereas the character DLC in ME2 was acceptable (they knew that there was going to be DLC from the beginning since locked doors on Normandy) it was obvious that they werent an intergral part of the storyline. From Ashes however is a huge part of the storyline. A lot of conversations go on with the person. Weapons DLC is awesome. Why? Because nobody loses in this case. Just new gear for people who have too much money.
Add-on DLC? Sure... if it's not an intergral part of the storyline. I had NO clue what was going on in the beginning of ME3 due to me not having played Arrival. Thats wrong. That means my game which I purchased at full retail price was in fact not complete enough without the DLC to go and play the sequel. Thats just not right.
I know who is to blame. I know who is to blame for the annoying bugs in the game. Its the people who pushed the developers at BW to make this game happen at a rampant speed. Theyre called EA. They pushed the game too far and it was delivered with annoying bugs and a ****ty ending.
Ill give you an example of a company who did that once
Obsidian Entertainment with KoTOR 2 and god we're we as fanbase pissed at LucasArts. Same thing happened. LA pushed Obsidian and the endresult was an incomplete game. In the end the fans finished it for the dev's
