I was really excited about the idea of a Prothean squadmate but soon his personality just became unbearable.  He looked cool and had some decent attacks but the way he treated my fellow squadmates as well as his snobbish demeanor got on my nerves.

He would go on and on about how other races are primitives.  Look jackass, that was 50K years ago, things have changed and it's time to move on.

Every time he would communicate with my fellow squadmates he was always rude.  He was justified in seeking vengeance against the reapers but he should've treated me and my fellow crewmates as comrades in arms, not as annoyance who got in his way.

Next time I'll let Cerberus dissect that schmuck.

He did have his moments, like after Liara's home planet gets Reaperized he actually gives her a speech that inspires her to keep fighting.

He turns around a bit if you confront him. He even comforts Liara after Thessia. In his own way.

I thought he was pretty hilarious, "they used to eat flies".

He opens up as you progress and becomes less of a elitist, I like him.

I set aside some time to play through Mass Effect 3 once, but I'm not really encouraged to play through it again.

I love that he basically obliterated the romantic view of Protheans that had been held up to that point. It makes me wonder what we've done that to in our own history.

I think he has call to be a ******. He's 50,000 years old, the last of his race. He's never going to change what happened, he's never going to be able to propagate his species. Can you imagine being the last human? Not one of the last, the last. There are no others. Your species is effectively dead, you got to watch it die, when you die? You're gone. Extinct. On the list with the oryx and crake and dodo and dinosaurs. Now, tell me, in that situation, would you be a nice guy?

Besides, he gets a lot better if you're playing a Paragon. There's even this really sweet Paragon Interrupt you can do on the Citadel with him (when he asks you to meet him), that shows he honestly believes that you'll beat the Reapers.

Protheans=Prickeans.

I didn't bring him to Thessia so I'll have to try that next time.

Had I really been Commander Shepard and in the Mass Effect universe I would not want someone like Javik on my ship.  For such a dangerous, important mission I would want everyone to be supportive of each other and friendly in order to maintain morale.
