As title:

Last night while flying around in some system (Ars/Arns?) , no reapers, no scanning, just flying, the game crashed, ps3 froze, zero controller input resulting in a hard reset of my brand new slim ps3. Considering there were zero things happening in the game at the time, no dialogue, no shooting, I find this to be...troubling. What is up with the PS3 code? I don't buy a skyrim esque memory problem, so whats the deal?

PS3 users need a patch, bad. Our goodwill will not last forever. Its pretty obvious how most of the industry feels about developing for the PS3, but this is just shoddy. A single player game running on a brand new ps3 shouldn't be freezing/crashing/dropping frames. Whatever the reasoning, please fix this. We didn't do anything to you besides buy your product and thus pay your salaries. We put up with it now, but believe me, in the future, we won't stand for absurdly poor ports. Again, we didn't do anything. To put your fellow gamers through bull**** like this because some corporate servant of some shareholder desires to cut costs mandated it, and then remain silent about it, is literally disgusting. Find the time to at least tell us, something. Anything.

Todd Howard at least somewhat admmitted the ****ty ps3 job on skyrim, where are you mr hudson?

It is becoming apparent, and I suppose it should have been for some time, that the gamer who eager with anticipation and excitement, rushes out and purchases a release copy of a game (especially a ps3 game) is in for some bumpy waters. Should we all just stop buying day one releases and wait a few months not only for the inevitable retail price drop but for some decent patching to fix completely embarrassing technical flaws which no major media reviewer will ever mention due to fear of lost $ from the publisher?

Like why not just resell this, resell BF3, resell FIFA12, resell DA2, and then go get the "GOTY Edition" for 40 dollars with all the DLC and 8 patches. Yes I'd have to wait months, but that is literally the only downside. I can deal with paying a premium for upfront content and dlc, hence the collector's edition icon on my avatar, but FFS, the goddamned product should work. It should RUN, it should be PLAYABLE.

Seriously, I am not bothering with any EA published ps3 title on release, again. Its not worth the hassle, its not worth the disdain from a company who clearly only cares about dividends for their share holders. There is clearly something wrong in this industry and thus the industry leaders (EA/Activision) when a gamer who shells out 60 for the new title, maybe 15-20 for initial dlc and then watches that same title get repackaged, put on a shelf, and sold for 30-40 with all dlc (and patches) included a few months later. You guys are cannibalizing your only profits. I've never understood why a day one customer is treated worse than a day 120 customer. Why a guy/gal who buys a game and then months later tries to buy some DLC he/she decided against the 1st time around, finds that it would in fact be FAR cheaper to just go buy the repackaged GOTY edition, which usually has everything.

Seriously this is the only industry I can think of where the actual fans are always the ones getting shafted. I'm not talking story decisions or plot, I mean quality of product and value for $$$. Every day one game I've bought this year has been a buggy as hell POS on the PS3. Every. Single. Goddamned. One.

You should all be ashamed.

As a ps3 owner of mass effect 3, I feel your pain. I too have experienced this game crashing bug. Shortly after i completed a major plot twist, I went onto the galaxy map. To my surprise after setting a course to the Citadel my game crashed. After reseting my ps3, I went back to the galaxy map. But this time....To my frustration it happened again! It turns out any system I tried to travel to on the galaxy map was giving me the same CRASH over and over again. Something is very wrong. I DO NOT WANT TO RESTART MY WHOLE GAME! If that is the solution i will be horribly dissapointed.

Definitely an experience killing bug. Shame on you bioware for overlooking bugs like this :(
