We all know that LOKI Mechs get thrown on the floor (weak armor) or are obliterated (maybe when you have assault armor) whenever your Tech Armor explodes.

I've just landed on Freedom's Progress with Miranda and Jacob, and I was wondering if/how YMIR Mechs will respond to my lvl 2 tech armor's destruction while I'm in melee-range. Will they stagger? Will it affect their shields? Or will nothing happen, resulting in my Shep being blasted to mince meat?

Problem is that I've just killed the mech so I can't test it, and I won't reload the mission since this is my 8th shepard in 24 hours time, lol.

Dunno, I haven't been at that range with a YMIR in a while. If you have Kasumi's DLC there's a YMIR there that you can test against and with a better room also, IMHO.

But I'd assume that there might be something on Youtube related to that if there is an effect on them.

YMIR cannot be staggered when it has armor / shields up. All powers will only inflict damage; except Drones (that will distract it) and Stasis (= goodbye YMIR)
