It would be cool to get Bann Teagan to join you, since he isn't much for politics anyway, he could be a helping hand during your quest for the sacred ashes, and then decide to stay (or something).

Can't think of any male characters that left any impression on me. Dagna's cute and all, but a bookworm. Not sure how she'd fit into a war party.

Sophia Dryden - Yes she could use some time in a makeup parlor but her reactions to everything would be amusing, especially paired with Shale.
