We've seen plenty of elven-human hybrids, and I've read of halflings on the Dragon Age wiki...but I haven't found anything on relations between elves and dwarves. Can they make children together? And if so, how do you think they would look? Could they possibly have magic?

The bigger question isn't whether they can, because I'm sure that they can.
The big one would be why they would. Of the three races, dwarves and elves seem have the least interaction.

I heard a noble in the Diamond Quarter speak of a dwarven woman who ran off with an elf - I think they married. It sparked my curiosity. Plus I've been planning to pair one of my elven wardens with Dagna in a future fanfiction of mine. :innocent:

Hmm, interesting. But if that is true, his mother was most likely a human. As ShadowLord said, elves and dwarves have rare contact with one another.

*sighs* I was actually looking for a serious answer. But using Zevran as a test subject with an Aeducan would be nice. For science.

But in DAII's Legacy there are hints at it being possible.

The dwarf I had in mind for my fanfic to have a half-elf baby is Dagna, and since she's pretty weird for a dwarf (obsession with mages and magic) I don't think it would be a stretch for her to be with an elf.

It just basically deals with Sandal's lineage, where he's the bastard progeny of an Aeducan male and either a human/elven woman.
that's about it.

Not a stretch at all actually, assuming the Elf she's with is a mage or at least had a mage ancestor somewhere in their line. I'd imagine that she would enjoy being with an elf if she loved him, and might even wonder if a child of theirs could be a mage.
