Love the trilogy. Hate the ending. It makes no sense and its completely not Mass Effect-ish.
So no, not satisfied. Not until they give an ending that makes sense.

What about the ending is not "Mass Effect-ish"?

What does that even mean?

Are you kidding?? The Shepard in the final scene wasnt the same character I spend 100+ hours with. Total cop out.

Mass Effect 3 did not fit the mold of the other two games; the other two games were likewise different from each other. The ending itself was unexpected, and that was the purpose of it.

Just gotta keep tossing that in there... no offense intended.

Again, I just want to know ... how so? What did he do that made him "non-Sheperdish"?

Honestly no not really. It was fun, the endings were okay but, overall I felt like Bioware lost its creativity overall with the game. What I'm saying and I hope this makes sense is that I didn't get that adventure feel, that curiously, explanation feel from the previous games.

It just didn't have that feel. Now I know about the opposition to change the endings but overall I honestly don't think it will work. I don't feel like were are entitled I know we're entitled as in having the right to have an opinion but with class. Overall I think I'm just going to take a break from video games in general.

And among other things their were lots of lies or "careful" uses over words that were promised and I deeply disliked that. Anyone know when another epic sci-fi game will come out?

Haha funny to bring that up..... I didnt even play it because it was so bad, and havent visited the forums since then up to now, thats how bad it was....

But if we want to compare with other stuff: Matrix's ending also sucked (Matrix = best movie ever, Matrix Revolutions = WTF is that SH!T?!), and harry potter got worse with every new novel / movie.....

Tbh Lord of the Rings is the only real series I know that didnt get worse with every sequel, and that is only because it was written in one go back then. (I dont count series in which each part stands on its own, like Discworld, by the way).

About 90% of ME3 was good the rest 10% negative deals with tech, bugs and storyline.

Not satisfied, that Shepard is not mine, and many things are just forced upon me, the worst being the endings.

The bugs really ticked me off. Thats how I usually judge a game first glance overall when I'm done with it.  Oh and did I mention that it felt their was too much recycled music .

I finished it 20 minutes ago. My mouth is still wide open... I'm kinda in awe at the moment, I just don't know. Totally didn't expect what happens. Overall, hell yeah I'm satisfied. My only major problem being the amount of auto-dialogue. Well there may be more but I think my mind needs time to er... digest what happened...

DA2 had a better story and better new squad mates.  EDI, the DLC, and freddy prince jr where not needed in ME3 as squad mates.

Bioware lost its creativity overall with the game.

what creativity?  every new story since KOTOR has you as some "super soldier" with a good/bad meter.  the worst was dragon age when they ripped off the entire LOTR plot.

The 'game' itself was most definantly satisfying. I loved the gameplay, i loved the continuing storyline, I loved how intence the action was.

Its just the fact that the story 'STOPED' rather than 'ended' that leaves me feeling put-out.

If they'd just put the effort in to showing Earth being rebuilt.. to showing the Normandy crew being rescued, to showing that the other races Survived.. showing 'something' of the aftermath of your choice, THEN showed that final 5 second clip of the 'good' ending (and perhaps with the romance choice searching the rubble nearby), It would have made a BIG difference.

But, the way it was done.. it didnt feel like an 'end' it felt like a 'sudden stop at the end of a long drop'.

Like a sales-pitch for future DLC or a new series of games with the storylin continuing from that last 5 second clip.

*quick edit*
multiplayer 10/10

combat 10/10

graphics 10/10

emotion 10/10

story 10/10

ending -10/10

Why a negative? because the game dosnt 'end' (well it could be said to end if you get the truely 'bad' ending) when you put in all the work to get the good or 'realy good' endings. It simply 'stops'.

Was I 'satisfied' with the game? Yes
Was i 'satisfied' with the ending? Um... what ending?

had they put a story behind the idea of it being war maybe I would have bought the story but not some fetch quest sh**** and the same recruit the races instead of a squad from ME 2 garbage and for what purpose. when all of a dam sudden Shepard becomes space god and can chose the path for the whole galaxy at the end

While I'm not in the uproar about the endings as most, I do have feelings of incompleteness. I can't say any more, because I don't wish to spoil the ending for those who haven't played it.

Besides that though, the journey to the end of the game was great.

Good, cause if you had a problem with Discworld, we'd need to have words. ;)

And LOTR the book, was actually a whole book, not a series. It was broken up because the publisher wasn't so sure such a massive tome would sell well, and we know how that turned out.

Although the comparisons between books and games must stop. Even an interactive adventure book can only offer so many options within its pages, with you, the reader, keeping track of them.

Games have so much more potential than books in offering an interactive story, one that truly reacts to your every decision, and one that, at the end of it, reflects those decisions. ME 2 did it fine, you upgrade the right things, do the right missions, pick the right people for the job, everyone comes out alive. ME 3 however, does no such thing.
