    To all at Bioware,

Thank you for creating such a fantastic game given the current state of the industry. Thank you for endeavouring to produce the highest quality in all things; arête isn’t something common these days. Thank you for trying to cater to everyone, from the most casual to the most hardcore of gamers; releasing the developer toolkit is something most companies shy away from. Thank you for stepping into your own IP and making it something truly noteworthy. Thank you for spending time creating a believable world steeped in its own unique lore. Thank you for spending time with the community; from developers, to writers, to moderators – the fact that you take time to even respond to some people here on these forums speaks volumes for your resolve. You show fortitude and respect where others do not do the same.

Thank you everyone at Bioware. You are Paragons of the games industry. Everything you’ve done in the past can only lead as example as to what you will produce in the future. May the stone hold you up, always.

    Til.

With all the negativity and petty ****ing that gets thrown around on these forums, I thought it appropriate. If you feel the same by all means add to the thread. If not, let it be swallowed by the forum.

Quoted for truth. This is an awesome game. I think its a sign of a well made game if I'm sitting playing at Midnight thinking "I should go to bed, I have work in the morning", but still stay up for a couple hours because I really, really want to know what happens when I finish the Orzammar section.

Ty bioware for dragon age.
Fu EA for DLC.

I doubt it was EA's idea...

Anyway, in a small defense of DLC, computer games are still new. The model changes all the time, from subscription to expansions back to vanilla straight up charges.

I don't really care about DLC due to me having 5 bucks and being old enough to card on the net. Though I know lots that lots of kid's and broke students may not :P

Also, if the community starts offering something of better quality or length in terms of mods, Bioware WILL KEEP PACE WITH THEM...which is nice, because they are charging for it, it'll always have to be better if they want it to sell in decent amounts.

And lastly, I hate'd episodic content from HL, takes ages for it to come out by which point you've stopped caring. That Bioware seems to be churning the stuff out with a dedicated team behind it lets us have a level of support that none of their other games ever enjoyed.

Regardless of what Bio says about DLC and not promising stuff, i'm pretty sure they'll give us better stuff as time goes on.

TLDR : DLC probably not all bad, will scale to be better than quality of mods.

Oh believe me im not poor in any way. But the principle, and not encouraging greed is something far heavier then any money in the world. Atleast for us with a soul still intact.

Well done to the junior writers too. All the companions were consistently strong. I even saw an interview where Ray Muzyka said Leliana, Sten and Dog were his favourites.

Also well done to all the people in the credits with impressive titles who I never heard of. You must have been working hard making the game instead of posting on the forums.

Well done to the management for greenlighting the project.

Also thanks to the devs who hung out on the forums during the game's development. I have nostalgic memories of all the anticipation, excitement, whinging, speculation and begging devs for scraps of information.

I definately couldn't have said it any better myself so I won't bother to even try. Thank you.

+1 here. I've been critisizing some things and pushing for the patch, but it's still the best RPG I've played in years...

If I were a developer at Bioware, who had spent the last six years of my life creating this game, and was met with some of the threads and language that gets thrown around on these boards, I'd go home after a 9-5 feeling pretty down. Sometimes saying "thank you" is all it takes to turn a bad day into a good one. I know they're only words, but it never hurts to thank or praise people when they truly deserve it.

I honestly don't think all Bioware employees are the money hungry automatons you make them out to be. It's not like the profits from Dragon Age feed directly into their pockets.

Credit where credit is due, I say.

This is the exact mentality that I had in my younger, idealistic days. Boy was I in for a rude awakening.

That said, I won't stop you from doing what you feel you must, and as Stanley Woo pointed out above, I'm sure there are Biowareans who appreciate the sentiments.

Really? That's sad. I don't know your line of work, and maybe all you do care about is the company's profit, but when you are employee #194 all you care about is that it makes enough to keep your job. And when a random customer/end-user/whatever comes and says a big "thank you for a job well done" it feels great.

I agree, naive idealization is unhealthy.

Apart from few design decisions and battles i disagree with, wonderful work! And as i already said, Mass Effect 2 is on the buy-on-the-release-day list (of course, that hasn't changed since i finished the first one :D).

Thank you, Bioware. Image IPBImage IPB DAO is my favourite of the games you've made since Black Isle took a one-way ticket to the land of the miniature giant space hamsters.

Now, where's my Achievement for shameless arse-kissing?

Thanks BioWare - I've followed your games since BG, and have never been disappointed. Nothing's perfect, and you can't please everybody all the time, but within those parameters, you've done some great work over the years, and with DA:O you've given me hours of intense enjoyment - yet again!
