Vega as an LI... I'm not sure. He seems to be a kind of a guy for whom army is a spouse of sorts, but still, he could at least be available as a f***-buddy...

Actually Shep is Navy (Commander is navy rank)...Vega is definitely Marines...I wanted to shag him the moment he shouted "OO-RAH" during one of the missions.

No difference really in the case of the Alliance. Think of the Marines as a sub branch like the Seals.

It appears to work that way, since Kaidan and Vega are Lieutenant and Major, which are traditionally army, marines, and air force officer ranks. Admiral Hacket and Commander Shepard, those are definitely navy officer ranks. I guess in a time period where most military excursions are are on space ships and require "amphibious" operations to land on other planets, the Alliance is essentially a traditional Navy with Marines as their "boots on the ground" force. N7 appears to be their "special forces."

or maybe they could mod a romance scene you know a mix with his N7 talk and kaidan's pick me up ... yeah Vega can carry my shep to bed any time

That would have been nice, I could very well imagine Vega and my man-shep tumbling to bed together for some stress-relief before the big battle. At least the flirting would have come to something in this case, even if it were just a quick lay.
