But he's cool, and I liked him a lot more than I ever thought I would, and when you compare him to FemShep's other non-alien options, I can see why he'd be the most attractive to a woman.

It's not a precedent; we've already had Varric do that.TheBlackBaron wrote...
Honestly, I think it sets a good precedent for one of Bioware's leading male characters to -not- be a romance option.

I would be fine with him not being a romance...if there was ANY new romance for straight femshep. Unless you kept Kaidan alive in ME1 or romanced Garrus in ME2 (which squicks many people out), then femshep is SOL in ME3. That's incredibly unfair, considering gay maleShep, lesbian femShep, and straight maleShep ALL have NEW romances in ME3.

But In in the worst case scenario, Femshep has no other options, aside from going lesbian..Bekkael wrote...

But anyways i would be very happy if we had him as a romance option to me he beats Kaidan his scars, tattoos, muscles, and his personality is just very attractive to me. And Bioware is like teasing us because James keeps on flirting with Shepard and it's just like " GOD WHY CAN'T I HAVE YOU!? "

I am very confused on why we DON'T have him as a romance option the only reason i see is if he was interested in Cortez which he's not... or is he?![]()

This teasing and tempting may be intentional - you like a character, you would like a DLC... you pay and get it. Simple strategy...

What struck me about this character was the chemistry he seemed to have with my femshep. The writer deserves some kudos for presenting a great character that seemed brash and cocky but had a surprising degree on vunerability as well. His story about Lola and the use of the nickname throughout the game gave the character a great deal of validity that sadly wasn't present in the other "romances" (particularly dirty chess and the media muppet).
I have to wonder why this one wasn't given some serious consideration. The lack of taboo in mass relationships (same sex, interspecies, etc.) seems to exclude an older woman/ younger man scenario. This one would fill that niche and if it carried on with the existing development as the foundation would easily come closest to vaguely resembling a non-virtual relationship.
