This is the letter I sent in that just barely(with TONS of tweaking) fit on one page:
Dear Bioware,
This is Shepard’s POV on her relationship (or lack-of) with James Vega from day one.
Vocal Entries by Azea Shepard. Topic: James Vega
Entry One: We left Earth today; despite how much they could have used us. It was a tough decision, but it had to be done. Not everybody understands that. Vega was livid, to say the least. He wanted to stay and fight. I understand that. I really do… But he’ll come around. I might have just met him, but I can tell he’ll be one hell of a soldier. We’ll see how things pan out when it comes to political debates. I have a feeling he’ll be a bit hot-headed when it comes to this.
Entry Four: Went to talk to James today, after talking to the Council. Tried to learn a little something about who’s fighting by my side. Gotta say, he’s a big flirt, but definitely a great fighter. Could have given me a run for my money during our match. I learned a lot during those couple of minutes. Listening to him, it was calming, but his story relatable. I wouldn’t have made any different decisions on his mission. They reflect in his actions, and I can tell they really affected him. He’s reckless, and I don’t know if I can have reckless on my team, but I have a feeling things will change soon enough… I think I like the nickname he gave me though… Lola, huh? Also, note to self: Try to make him blush more. It’s cute.
Entry Ten: Decided to take a break and grab a drink at Purgatory, talked to James. Told me I was seen in a different light to others. Glad I bought them a round, you know, loosened things up. Should thank Vega later for embarrassing me later though…
Entry Seventeen: Called Vega up to my cabin. Thought he sounded pretty serious, and was right. He was asked to join the N7 program… It doesn’t surprise me that he was. I’m glad he was taking it so seriously though. I’m glad that he decided to talk to me about it. It was a big decision, and the fact that he talked to me meant something to me. He doesn’t know if he’s ready for this responsibility, but all that I’ve seen and heard of him, he’s a great choice. His decisions would have been matched with mine. The conversation ended with flirting. I sort of wish that something had become of that. But every action has its place. Maybe another time…
Entry Nineteen: An N7 celebratory tattoo, eh? I’d love to see it when it’s finished. Maybe I’ll take up his offer on the tattoo. When I asked about him making good on all the flirting, he squirmed. It was cute, and I kind of wish he had an answer for that. I know it’s not supposed to happen, but… I wish it would. I don’t know where he stands on “us” right now, so I’ll just stick to flirting. One day, Shepard. One day.
Entry Twenty-Seven: This is my last entry before our final run against the reapers. James seems really uptight. It’ll drive him forward. Hopefully, it’ll keep him alive. It’d be good to know that we’ll all survive this. All I can think of is how the hell we’re gonna reach that beam. That, and Vega. I love you James. If we live through this, I’ll make sure to tell you after it’s all over. I thought i was going to hate him to but that body and that voice(I don't usually like knowing what VA's look like kinda spoils it for me, but lucky I have no clue what Freddie Prince Jnr., looks like anyway so it's all good). But I love him so bad, i was planning to dump Kaiden for him but the romance option never came up and I read some where he ended up not being romancable and I was like NOOOOOOO!
I love Kaiden as well but need variety every now and then plus I am not into chickens, they could of at least made Cortez Bi I like Cortez gorgeous blue eyes.
So it's been signed and I will even pay for that DLC hell even if they made a big one that extended all romances, like adding a kiss them at any time on the Normandy kind of thing like DA:O.
Edit: Plus they need to add Zaeed to that list of romancables he is such my Reg Sheps type.

BTW, for those who haven't read the fanfictions yet. I love The Wild Card, and The Shepard Vega Chronicles. (Listed by Quilate a few posts above). I am now having a hard time romancing Kaidan in a replay of the series, though, because reading these fanfiction makes me realize I can't really have what I want... Which is Vega!

I have to say that it was actually really cool meeting James Vega, and I actually found myself wondering, "I bet the Femshep romance with this guy is great!" I was actually planning on making a Femshep to see it, only to find out in passing that he's not even an available romance. I think that's a real shame.

Can we count the LI exclusive to femShep
Kaidan (was exclusive for femshep, now manshep can get a piece too)
Garrus (wonderful character, but only availiable if you recruited him in 1 and romanced him in 2, plus he is turian and not everyone is into spikes)
Thane (another wonderful character, doesn't work out tho)
Jacob (somewhat limited appeal if you go by the forum, doesn't matter cuz he dumps your ass anyway)
Traynor (I like her, but she is gay. Not an option for straight girl)
So yes, we desperately need James to step up to the plate, even if it is just for gender balance.
