At first I thought James Vega is the exact polar opposite of everything I find attractive in a man, but suddenly about halfway through the game I found myself getting waaaaay too excited every time he came onscreen (and I'm a dedicated Garrus girl!) WHY IS THIS THUGGISH BRUTE OF MAN-MEAT SO SEXY. TELL ME.

*ahem*

I would totally buy a Vega Romance (VEGAMANCE) dlc.

ETA: I think it was totally his pissing match with Garrus that sealed it for me <3

Pretty obvious he should've been one. FemSheps who kept Ash alive and are straight are seriously screwed...or not, as the case turns out to be.

And manSheps who kept Ashley alive and are gay. I basically only had Cortez, and while he's awesome, two choices would have been nice. I basically felt punished by Bioware for not having clairvoyance and seeing that in some near future they would make Kaidan a gay romance option. It kind of sucks.

I'd be okay with keeping him straight too, but I would PREFER for him to be bi. Because I'm selfish for muscly boys. Ha, ha! 

In all seriousness though, having one option kind of sucks. It's better than no options like we had before (for gay manShep, I mean), and I don't think we got as screwed over as straight femShep, but yeah, not fun. I think Vega should be bi, so that way we, the underdogs, get to bast in the awesome love of James while everyone else gets to keep their extensive amount of options! =p

I didn't know he wasn't a romance.  I thought he was a bisexual one.  

He should be a romance though.  He was a pretty cool character.  He was a bro, but not on the same level as Garrus, Javik, Grunt, or Wrex.  Maybe not even Cortez.  Much better than boring ol' Carth Kaiden Onasty.  Most boring ****in' character.  Better than Jacob too.

No, I think Jacob is definitely more boring than Kaidan, and I don't even care for Kaidan that much. I LOL'ed when I did Jacob's side mission and found that it was the most boring of all the side missions in the whole game. I could not believe how little Bioware had moved him from basically being a piece of furniture that could talk.

A good way to determine boring character or not is to play a game:

Come up with as many adjectives for a character as you can without mentioning their profession, what they look like, what they wear, etc. Jacob...all I get is level-headed. Kaidan however has sensitive, little philosophical (see ants dialog), level-headed, a bit of a boy-scout like Shepard but much more reserved....get it?

I get that whenever they try to force Kaiden to say something not boring, it's like "Shut up, Kaiden. Why are you even trying to be a person? You are so boring. You are a robot, Kaiden."

On a side note: I liked Jacob's loyalty mission.  It had one of the best songs of the game in it and was kind of the most disturbing.  Good scenery too.

Really capitalized on how disturbed it was.
