All i can say is WOW, it's so silly when grown girls have crushes on Video Game characters...
*Sigh*.............
You said it, right there. I haven't ever gotten all fangirl about anything since I was, like, twelve.
He just seems so accessible, like if you met him he'd be the perfect boyfriend, all tough and hot and kind. Just bad enough for flavor, but not so bad that he gets you knocked up and leaves you.
Well, that's where I go with it, anyway.

I have had video game character crushes as long as I can remember, as well as comic character crushes. I've never found "real people" (musicians, actors) as interesting as fictional characters. My first love was Venom, the villain from Spiderman... I was something like five years old, though I still find him (it?) hot. There has been dozens, if not hundreds crushes, including for example Batman, Darth Maul, Eomer from LOTR... And so on... I was in love with Marcus Fenix (Gears of War -games, IF SOMEONE REALLY DOESN'T KNOW
) for about four or five years, I think. Then I started to play ME3 and here we are! James Vega brightens my every day, in a innocent child-like crush -way
Never going to tell my fiancé though, he might not understand.
And yeah, I just turned 23 years old.
Vega transcends age. I'm 33. (and have a 14 year old son, thus the "knocked up and left" comment

I know the feeling, but it didn't really start for me until Dragon Age. Alistair is my first video game love *swoon*. Then came the Witcher (scars are so hot). It may sound strange but I also have a bit of a crush on Ulfric Stormcloak (I think it's the voice? I dunno how to explain that one.) Then the other favorite Chantry Boy from DA2 (Sebastian Vael). And now, of course, James Vega, which was totally unexpected but I think it was BioWare's fault for not letting us... uh... consummate the relationship in-game. That's my excuse anyway (and what I told my husband when he asked the other day).
I'll be 40 in October.

I'm in the same boat, I've never had an in-game until Mass Effect then DA series! I think the voices have a lot to do with it as well as their personalities, and especially with Vega, the cute way he tries to flirt all the time
Yeah, the voices definitely do it, but it is more than that. I never had much of thing for Kaidan before - the voice actor for him does a good job but somehow the character detracted from it a bit (he seems a little too gay for my taste).
Edit: But this thread is about James, so how dare I link to Kaidan hotness. Gonna go post that link in a Kaidan thread somewhere...
Here's some James fun to replace it:

Exactly, he seems like the perfect mix of qualities for a man. Loyal, oh so masculine, strong but kind, sexy but sweet, again *sigh* not fair.

The same also with me, I think the furthest back I can remember to having a crush on a fictional character was Alvin from the chipmunks, back with the old cartoon shows and movies, and Michelangelo in the Ninja Turtles.
Yeah, I don't think I'll mention it to my Fiance either lol, and I was 25 in Feb.

Geez, I had almost forgotten about that. Ridiculously perfect. He really does deserve the anime they're making about him. They had better not screw it up.
But I won't hold my breath.

I remember having a serious thing for Robin Hood (the fox) from the Disney movie when I was five. When I was older, I didn't watch much TV and mostly read novels, but I always gravitated toward anti-heroes, the ones that don't wear costumes. I also started watching the Strong Man competitions in my teens, got a thing for strong men. The guy next door who was just hot and saved you from whatever. (Um, Vega, anyone?) We're entitled to our fantasies.

I think I need a J.V.A.A - James Vega Addicts Anonymous- Lol
Hi my name is Samantha and i'm a 25 year old Engaged Aussie girl with a secret James Vega addiction.

1: That the flirting actually leads to a romance.
2: I would like to be able to learn a bit about James, maybe even help him sort through some of his issues.
3: I would love to be able to go one a first date with him. Awww that could be so awesome.
4: A sweet and sexy love scene.
5: Maybe suprise him with a Tattoo
6: This is an option I want added for all romances, the ability to hug or kiss my LI whenever I want, and not wait for a cut scene.
I can't really think of anything else, but I think that it touches on most things.
What are your thought's/idea's ????

I totally forgot about Ulfric Stormcloak, damn, he's hot! The main reason I joined stormcloaks in the first place. I also like Farkas though, I was planning on marrying him (because Ulrric isn't available), but ME3 got on the wayYeaaaaa I can see a pattern here, I'm attracted to huge muscular bear-like men. Well that's nothing my man would be sad about, he's also that type. Luckily.

Well, maybe that's what's so alluring about him. But I didn't see him that way, personally. Compared to the other Jarls he was one of the younger/hotter ones. He was probably a total ass (racist much?), but he had a hot voice that was also unique to his character. (I guess I'm very impressionable.)
Back on topic, if there was James Vega DLC I think it should be set up the way the companion missions were for ME2. There should be some specific thing you need to help James do. WIthin the context of ME3 I'm not sure what that would be. Maybe it would have something to do with his mission on Fehl. Then afterwards maybe he comes to thank Shepard and then one thing leads to another... and there absolutely must be lots of skin time with him. Lots and lots.
