I've played 20 hours in 3 days and the game says I have only completed 8% of the game... I'll get 200 hours out of this title because I search every nook and cranny and also do almost all side quests, just spent 2 hours at Wardens Keep this afternoon and still not finished with that DLC.

Thank you Bioware for a mind blowing experience slash addiction!! Image IPB

Since I'm very busy elsewhere, and also a completionist, I'm still on my first playthrough. 60h, third treaty.

Good thing it is taking that long for you, because I go off on random adventures led by my curiosity for often pointless things that lead me throughout every inch of games I play.

I hope my first playthrough lasts a LONG time.

Just finished my first playthrough at 90 hours, and I rushed the end of it (skipped a few sidequests and decided to hold off on the party member quests) because I wanted to start a new one with a different origin.

My first playthrough lasted me 5 days of waking up and playing then going to bed >_> Maybe 6 days...Not sure and overall don't care...I still had 5 other origins and two other classes to play and murder everything in sight.

My problem is I suck as a rogue..havnt even tried warrior yet...but I love rogues but apparently fail at them in this game o.o

Finished my first playthrough at 60h, and this was skipping most of the individual companion storylines and many sidequests. Started on my second and plan to be as thorough as possible with completing everything this time around. This is actually the first time I've had a game that I'm excited to play all the way through more than one time, and that's saying something.

How the hell can you guys spend that many hours on a a single play through? My first playthrough took 42 hours and I did every sidequest that I could find (which was close to if not all of them, I was very thorough).

I'm not even trying to brag. I just don't see how it is possible.

Just depends on how you play probably. I didn't skip any dialogue, preferred to keep walk toggled as opposed to running whenever possible, etc.

I didn't walk, I just did most side-quests and thoroughly explored everywhere I arrived. There were still about... 10 or so side-quests (I think) that I didn't finish/receive because I started to get addicted to how the storyline was progressing, and that first playthrough went for about 64 hours, I think. Like MassFrost said, just depends on how you play. Exploring every nook and cranny for items and extra enemies to kill can account for a lot of time, too.

I'm currently about 70 hours in and have less than 70% explored. Embarrassingly, I've only skimmed the Codex entries, so that's not added significantly to my total time, but I have explored as much dialog as I can and tried to get every side quest I can find. Play style is definitely a factor.

Ah yes, I had forgotten about the Codex as well. I've probably read through at most 20% of how much is in there and it's taken up a significant amount of time.

I clocked in at 73 hours on my first playthrough, which included me being pretty thorough (did all npc sidequests for those NPC's I had traveling with me but left the others for future runs through the game where I will use different party members etc) and managed to get the achievement on PC for 75% of all sidequests completed, I got this while in the Alienage towards the end of the game so there's a whopping 25% more sidequests out there that I didn't find so I'm greatly looking forwards to hunting them all down on my next run through the game :)

one key to getting more for your money. Turn the plot helper off. Then you need to think about where to go and how to do it. Oh and not reading the walk-through guide cover to cover might extend it some too :P

Fantastic! Reading the forums as my game downloads... finally a game with a decent amount of playtime. I think this passed year all the new "#1 bestseller" releases that are suppose to provide months of fun I have completed in 1-2 days... looking forward to a good long game with a nice storyline... thankyou BioWare!

I'm likely going to finish between 80-90 hours (since I'm almost to the end). It's a good length; I completed every side-quest that fit into how I was roleplaying Lyle (while turning down others) so it could have been longer if I didn't keep with the character. I also stuck with more core group (Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana) for every part of the game that allowed me to do so, so I didn't go off and do any possible personal quests that other party members had (if they had any additional ones, which I wouldn't know since I didn't play them).

I'm at 80 hours, on the final treaty. Orzammar has a lot of side quests in comparison to the other areas, but I think I'm nearing the end of its line. I've listened to all the dialogue and read every codex entry I've come across. The play time however doesn't account for the times I've reloaded to try different dialogue and story options. I don't know when I'll finish, but at this rate it may be the 100 hour mark.

It's interesting how this game may not seem to have many areas, yet it still manages to pack a lot of content into the areas it does have.

I suppose if I read all the codex entries I would extend my playtime by another 2 hours or so. Even still my first playthrough took about 55 hours and I completed nearly everything. My second I expect will be around 60 (I missed a few side quests from poor decisions with NPCs from 1st). I don't really see how it can take longer than that to be perfectly honest.

Depends on whether or not you micromanage all your fights as well...

I'm on my 4th playthrough and this time i just decided i wanted to enjoy the story so i pretty much consoled a lv25 mage with all 4 specializations and all spells and that makes the game a piece of cake..

My first playthrough was tough, because playing normally your mages and warriors have to work in conjunction and you'd have to personally direct them otherwise you'd just get manhandled hence i spent a lot of time, enjoying both dialogue and combat

Percentage % of completion in char scree is not related to one playthrough being very complete.

It took me over 100 hours to complete my first, I had absolutely nothing else to do or explore at that point but to go to the ending and it still said 50% completed. I think it is related to all possible origins and paths one can choose during many playthoughs.

And I'm making sure my 2nd run is as long and explorative as my previous one
