Wow, I can't believe how long some of you guys are taking. My first playthrough only took me ~35 hours. Granted I skipped a lot of the sidequests that I've been doing on my other lowbie characters, so it will be interesting to see how long things take when I actually do most of the stuff.
I tryed to see your character's story but you've set it to private. Anyway, these may answer you. If you say you played Oblivion, I'd say you one of those who finished Main Quest at level 1 without ever doing anything in the game, am I right? I have 2 chars with over 500 hours each in that game. Granted, I cannot even think of playing it again and I already feel sick. TES4 is far from my favorite game.
I am sure that 100+ hours here doesn't mean reading all the codex, as I skipped most of it and reloading does not count towards play time. I did went through all the dialogues with immersive attention and I'm glad I did it too.

I think total gold acquired might also be used to see how much off he game one's missed by rushing it. Or the guy just doesn't like gold. =)
2nd char, lvl 15, total gold 282 - spent at once 80 - world explored 48% - 50 hrs (doing 2nd ally treaty)
1st char, lvl 22, total gold 730 - spent at once 104- world explored 95% - 105 hrs (post coronation, no DLC)

The sloth is a pain, don't want to post spoilers in here (as it's a non-spoiler forum) but make sure you have your full party available to you, and use the abilities and forms you've gained in the fade to their full extent when dealing with the Sloth Demon. It very much reminded me of Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and the use of their various skills and abiltiies to fight Freddy...don't know why, but it did, with that in mind, switch forms often, and fill in the roles your party's not doing as well at the moment.

At the moment I'm clocked in at 135:16:59 and I'm near done with acquiring my last army and heading off to the last round of stuff..I figure I'll clock in around 165ish for my first run. I've also been AFK and doing other stuff in the middle at points..but thankfully did not fall asleep with the game running this time, like I did Mass Effect

well I am not sure how much my stopping to read codex entries and peeking into every possible corner I could find or going back to zones where I couldn't unlock everything so I went back with the npc who had all the lockpicking skill factored ... but anyhow finished first playthru at over 150 hours. :| Talk about feeling some degree of accomplishment yet also a rather tiring experience. I guess I can shave a few hours off that though, because I did start a Dalish Elf Rogue and a Female Human Mage, completing most of their origins.

Yes thoroughly enjoying myself. I played Oblivion for about 400 hours and Fallout 3, three games of at least 100 hours each. My daughter however has played all the main quests and is coming to the finish now thoug she has only been playing for 65 hours or so. There we go. Everyone plays differently, some race through to see what happens in the enda dn others of us just enjoy the whole thing.
Brilliant overall. And I have not even started on DLC yet.

I am on my 2nd run though the game, this time Wardens keep took me 20-30mins to complete. This time im running mage, mage assassin and warrior, and I am abusing all the CC abilities I can. Most boss mobs dies in seconds once they are hit by stun, walking bomb, a butt load of lightning, and an assassin with auto crit on incapacitated mobs.

This thread is admittedly making me worried that the console version is missing content. I finished the game on Normal in around 58 1/2 hours, doing as many sidequests as I could (IE trawling the area for as many as possible), listening to all the dialogue, reading all the codex entries, etc. I counted over 100 quests - maybe 125 - completed by the end of the game. I know the console version is easier in terms of combat, but would easier battles and playing combat in real-time really reduce the length by 20+ hours?
I'm pretty sure it's not missing any content, however, if you play on normal on console, it's (as I've heard) supposed to be easier than normal on PC. This means that if you play normal and don't micromanage as much then it's going to be a lot shorter since your fights will be shorter.
I'm playing it on 360 on hard and I micromanage a lot, so a fight will take a lot longer than if I would be playing without pausing. Iäm about 40% in and ~40 hours.
So pause-play tactical combat will make it much longer than realtime.
