I read some of the codex articles (mostly about Reapers) and noticed, that situation isn't that bad at all. One of the notes states, that 3 dreadnoughts can cause a lot of trouble to a reaper, and 4 will most likely obliterate it. So my guess is that if you rally enough fleets you can destroy Reapers w/o cataclist. Lol.

Also I suggest all of us to read whole "Reapers" section in codex, and things will become less grim to you. Though endings do still suck. But atl codex gives us things to think about (and as well consumes lots of time, so less waiting for BW update on situation ).
