Yeah, I guess Chellick & Feron were one off's to supplement existing plots. Chellick was referenced by Jenna however, and I guess Feron dies if you didn't play LotSB, I don't know if there's any mention otherwise.

In my case Liara mentioned Feron is back working as her agent and he does send email to Shepard but I wanted to meet him in person.

Yeah. I missed Kal Reegar because ... come on it's Adam Baldwin. He is awesome.

Feron got more attention the comics overall, he just sat on a couch after being rescued in LotSB, lol. He would have been a cool Thane replacement if they had added a Drell squad member.

Yeah, I'm seeing they've killed far more characters off screen than they should have. I find that to be terrible story telling. Some of these characters were key parts of plots, and yet instead of finding a way, outside mediums are used for canon conclusions. I'd rather see stuff retcon'ed or have a substitute voice actor than have characters see such a weak ending. :(

Bioware = Weak endings are us.

Strong suspicion of budget limiting damage control :bandit:

Thanks for pointing out your thread :)

I just posted this in my thread about Gianna:

Olive Oomph wrote...

So, I have been thinking.

I have seen people complain, and rightfully so, that the Dark Energy plotline was not being touched at all.
Maybe they kept this for a DLC since they made such a big deal out of it in ME2.
Gianna said she was about to investigate something regading Dark Energy.

So I just found a little glimpse of hope :)

Dark Energy DLC featuring Gianna Parasini and a kiss from her for femshep! Pwetty Pwease!

Gianna's VA Wendy Braun did a lot of very small characters, so they definately had her recording. I will not give up hope!

And the Krogan Shaman can be seen, if Eve dies. He celebrates her funeral.

Thanks for adding the picture, hope you don't mind that I added it to the main post.

Was the Krogan Shaman that one voiced by Michael Dorn? Or was that Uvenk?

I missed seeing Kal'Reegar, Shiala and Gianna. I thought the last two would especially have a plot-related pay off (the Thorian, dark energy, respectively). Kal'Reegar would have been perfect in the admiral rescue mission. :(

I kinda liked Rana Thanoptis... That ANN email was bleh. It made sense, but bleh!

Shiala saying "I'm still indoctrinated" in her email too sucked hard. But least she has some presence, unlike Gianna. I mean, they were pretty prominent side characters that more or less vanished in ME3.

And Hannah Shepard was a let down, as someone mentioned earlier. Hackett just randomly says "Oh yeah, we found your mom. She's a rear admiral now!" and the whole thing is then promptly dropped and never mentioned again

I can understand Hannah Shepard since I don't think it was ever really intended to be a major plot point, but sure it would still have been nice.

I was just thinking about that issue w/ Shiala, and the indoctrination bit.... Really? Does Green = Indoctrination. If she's indoctrincated how can she still fight against the Reapers? So much left undone.... :(

why did most of the interesting side characters not make it into the final game or were killed off screen?

The support cast in all the games were fantastic, my particular favourites were;

1) Gianna Parasini
2) Captain/Major Kirrahae

Kirrahe was very well done.  When do you encounter Gianna though?

The lack of support for Jona'Hazt nar Qwib-Qwib is saddening. He is a very minor character, infact you never meet him and he doesn't have any dialogue but he still deserves some support.

I have to say kudos to BioWare for including my favourite barely-relevant-character in ME3 with the dying words of the krogan poet, Charr. I almost teared up when I heard the poem for his "blue rose of Illium". Thank you for that!

Extended Encounters (or Cameos if unavailable)
- Rachni Queen
- Corporal Toombs
- Sidonis
- Chorban / Jahleed
- Manuel
- Lorik Quiin
- Krogan Shaman
- Hannah Shepard
- Chellick
- Feron

Dr. Manuel Cayce has been dead since ME2 (at least that's what it looks like), so I doubt we'll meet him, too bad... :(
I was also pretty sad about Rana's ending, the terrible implication of her death is that indoctrination, once started, apparently keeps worsening even without stable contact with Reaper artifacts, as she didn't seem insane in ME1 and ME2... That, or she has been fooling us all along...

Yeah, no kidding... Poor boy lost both of his parents in less than a year...
Time to ask Tali what she thinks of adoption... :P

I  just wanted to let you know, that I started a fan group for her VA Wendy Braun, which also supports her return as Gianna in ME3 DLC!

Ugh, I was bummed out by not seeing Shiala. She hinted in ME2 that she wanted to get to know Shepard a bit more intimately. Blue women are illuring, but green are irrestible.

Oh and I'm not surprised about Rana, she was crazy from the start. I should of killed her in 1.

Yeah, the Shiala email made me like 'zomg, greenie's back!' but then she wasn't. At the very least it'd have been nice to see her and her commando team on Earth.
