ME3 IS HALF as long as ME2

I may have skipped one or two missions but that is not 20 hours of content, maybe by doing a completionist playthrough I could have squeezed in 3-4 hours more.

Either you are seriously rushing, or you're grandstanding to try to make some sort of point.

Did you read every codex journal, read all the emails, planet scan, TALK TO THE CREW AFTER EVERY MISSION (you really miss out if you don't. They do interesting stuff from time to time), do every side quest. I mean 25 hours is just not concevable in my mind.

Yes I did just about everything (I missed 3 missions on the citadel that just wanted me to scan planets)
Yeah first time around was to short. I also read everthing and talked to everyone.

Then ME 2 brought in the fun police and took away my tank drivers licence. I think I spent close to 40 hours there.
ME 3 I think I just finished in 35 hours. But damn if those 34 hours weren't some of the best hours spent this year. That final hour, I'm drinking this beer right now to forget.

ME2 with all DLC takes me about 35 hours.
ME3 took me 40 hours the first time, So I guess it will take me 36-37 hours this time, maybe a little more.
I think this is why people aren't complaining as much, because you were slower than most in ME1 and 2.

I finished ME1 in about 10 hours.
I finished ME2 in about 25 hours
I finished ME3 in about 27 hours
ME2 length is pretty close to ME3. Remember not to compare DLC because there was much more of it in ME2.

I played this game in the exact same style I did ME1 and ME2. Not rushed, not completionist. I'd say I did 90% of the stuff, like in ME1 and ME2.

So no... ME3 is definitely nowhere close to half as long...

30 Hours for Mass Effect 2
24 Hours for Mass Effect 3
It doesn't include the multiplayer, which I played for several hours though, and I missed one or two side quests in Mass Effect 3 (I think the Elcor homeworld one bugged, I couldn't do it. I missed Kasumi's as well)
Overall I'm happy with the length of the game. Not the replayability, as the ending destroys that, but the length is fine.

Playtime is what you make it. There's so many posts claiming to finish the game in as little as 13 hours. All I wonder, is why? What's the point? Where's the fun? I ~like~ the conversations! I want to see how various relationships are handled prior to space-boy intervening.
I love the game for itself and I will play it again even if I have to ignore the endings because the story keeps me upto 30, 40, 50 even 60 hours per game.
Without wanting to sidetrack the thread, I hope bioware read how much the series mean to people like me and everyone like me and give us an ending we can nod to. Not necessarily smile, but just nod.

42 in ME2? Lol the longest I've ever done is 24 hours with everything completed.
58 hours in ME2, with all DLC, and everything complette. Still best game ever in my opinon (only 10 hours in on ME3) but just done Palaveon.
