I don't feel like doing the research, but 3 mineral quests =/=25%. THAT, I know for sure.
Sorry man, it was the shortest for me. You can feel free to get worked up and tell me I'm wrong, but it's fairly foolish do do so when we all experience things differently.

I beat ME3 10 hours more quickly, but I think part of that is that the game is just a lot easier somehow.

If you drive around the planets 100 times while eating = 25% <:

Keep in mind that was with the exact same play style and pace. Half as long? Yeah no. You just took your sweet time with ME1/ME2.
Bull****. ME1 is the longest game of the series. Take your 100% completion fantasy somewhere else. My first play through in 2009 was 36 hours and I wasn't close to having done everything.
ME1 was the shortest for me too. People have different experiences, pall. Doesn't mean we're in "fantasy land hur dur". It'd be best not to be as ignorant in the future.
No, it means he didn't do everything.
I can vouch for him that a few mineral quests is a very, VERY small part of the game. Besides, I did them all and still found ME1 shorter.

You just confirmed what I've been trying to say. We all have different play styles. Even when I DO go for the minerals, I go straight for them. I don't waste any time going anywhere else.

How do you do that when the Mako's throwing you all over the place?
Anyway, ME1 100% minus minerals and 21 hours on first time is still hard to believe. Or did you skip a lot of text and use a guide? Come on now, be honest. My first playthrough of ME1 I didn't do many sidequests at all, just the main storyline, and my save is 17 hours.

Alone ME3-campaign with a major amount of side-quests (80% I would guess) took me 32h...+ Multiplayer ?h
ME2 with all galaxy explored, 100 % done, took me 34h...

No guide, hardly any skipping. Didn't read the codex much if that matters.

That's still totally subjective. My longest 100% completion of ME1 clocked in at just under 31 hours and that was after searching for that last mineral patch for an hour.

ME2 was 71 Hours with all DLC and a lot of dialog hunting.
ME 3 was 29 hours.

Why is nobody complaining about it? I finished the game with 90% readiness in 25 hours, I clocked in 45 hours in me1 and 42 in me2
I may have skipped one or two missions but that is not 20 hours of content, maybe by doing a completionist playthrough I could have squeezed in 3-4 hours more.

ME2 took about 50-70 hours (all dlc)
I just reached the Geth Dreadnought and I'm about 36 hours in, so I don't know if I'm close to done.

(Actually, I can 100% ME2 at about 28 hours or less if you don't count the DLC)

ME2 and ME3 have some built in padding in that regards in that you cant just go BOOM BOOM and do the main missions and be done.
Thats why I was able to get one ME1 playthrough down to 6 hours. Now 100% completions can be different, ME2 had planet scanning, and ME1 had poorly designed landscapes to pad time. ME3 didnt have that and kind of just got you to the good stuff (ME3s side missions I feel were AWESOME compared to ME1 and ME2 and tied in well to the story). So it didnt quite have the same amount of padding, SURE it had scanning but the scanning was fairly quick and to the point.
I will also point out that ME1 only had 1 hub (The citadel) as well and given the circumstances that becoming the main hub again made sense as most other places you'd hang out at were probably blown up with epic Reaper lasers.
