The Rannoch Decision

And I actually liked the way the game handled it. Because while paragon points are what make it possible, the actual decision is really made in the option to tell Legion to upload the code or not, because you've got a pretty good idea that could all go quite wrong.
So the game does make you make the hard choice, and then if you were awesome enough you can ensure the choice didn't turn out to be a disaster.

I imported my save game, but never had the option of peace. It was either kill him or destroy the qaurians, losing Tali in the process.
I had around a 75% renegade bar and 25% paragon. How is it even possible I did not get the peace options? I had the option to warn the fleet or rally them though, but I chose a neutral options, allowing legion to upload the code.
Was it perhaps the decision I made onboard my ship to Counterattack with the ship dreadnaught? siding with Gerrel that made this option to not appear?
Afterall in Mass effect 2, Tali and Legion were friends, I had both there trust and I trusted them-.-
I also want to know how starting a whole new game packs out without importing here. As I truly want my next playthrough to have peace. Think it is possible?
yes I did everything before I went after the reaper base. I am thinking this was because I supported Admiral Gerrel onboard my ship.
This however leaves me to hope I can still choose the peace options when i create a new game without importing.

Wait, you had those two? They were the peace options. I thought those don't show up if it's not available. Were they grayed out?

No they were not greyed out, I just didnt think they had anything to do with peace. it seemed as if it was portrayed as betraying legion. siding with tali in the very end -.- Guess ill replay the mission now.

I'm surprised Legion didn't say "You too, Shepard?"
I didn't think a brokered truce was going to last between them. There was too much bad blood. Eventually there would have been another war.
Maybe next Shepard (spacer, war hero) chooses peace (was 95% paragon). Just not this one. This one is end justifies the means (was 52% paragon through ME1, and 58% paragon through ME2).

You give legion the okay to upgrade his people to true intelligence, allowing the Geth to become individuals. Tali even says to stop attacking them, then as the admiral Gerrel says to ignore her order, they keep on attacking.
This allows you to choose 2 neutral options, 1 Paragon option and 1 renegade option. The Paragon and renegade option result in peace. Allowing for a peacefull co-existance between the Quarians and Geth upon Rannoch. Courtesy of Legion as the Geth will Honor his self-extermination and Shepards Heroic actions to preserve the Geth.
Very Interesting development and I personally loved this part of the game.
