i thought he was a good character, but he could be a better one if he sacrificed himself to save the galaxy instead of shepard

He was a pretty well-written character. It's difficult to write a character that comes off as a ****** every time you talk to him and still make him empathetic.

Although I was hoping for a renegade interrupt where I do the Jersey thing, puff out my chest and go all "what you trying to say, bro?"

I liked him as a character. He's not very nice, but I think he has plenty reason to be a little depressed/angry. I think the shock of waking up in a completely different time might be coloring the things he says and the way he says them and I like that as well. I always imagined the Protheans to be a benevolent sort of race, it's interesting to see that they weren't, really. Plus, he has some really great lines

Prothy the Prothean is by far the best character in the entire ME series.

The voice acting is a masterpiece in the history of video games, his comments and dialogues are just beyond amazing and the best thing is: He's totally not what you expected Protheans to be like. He's the last remnant of the predominant empire in the last cycle. He's seen all current races being merely animals, barbarians, primitives, of course he feels superior to them. Imagine you watched pigs evolve, develop a civilization, starships and stuff. You'd probably still say something like they used to be bacon or they used to live and eat in their feces because that's how you remember them. Look at the way people treat dolphins today, despite people knowing that dolphins are intelligent, social creatures, heck, we're even disrespectful to chimps despite tnem being 99% genetically equal to us.

He's not a douche, he might be rude, but  honestly, he's a warrior who's only seen despair, defeat and fight for survival. Of course he's pissed, when his people left warnings and the civilizations ignored them and are unprepared. I like his dialogues, allthough I don't agree with everything. But he's right with almost everything he says and just because it differs from the generic paragon Shepard doesn't mean Prothy is wrong or a jerk. He's even outright hilarious even though he didn't mean to be funny or something, except when he fools Vega. Javik is a great asset to the Normandy and I sincerely wished he'd been in thefirst 2 parts of the series, too since he's such an interesting and great character.

<3 Prothy the Prothean

Wish I could find more of his people out there so his race doesn't go extinct.

Anyone else notice Javik's inexplicably Sub Saharan African Accent?

I find most of the accents in the game inexplicable.

This stuff about being '99'%, the same always pissed me off. We evolved . I don't eat with my hand anymore , don't poop everywhere or lick my ass to clean it up and neither hump everything I see. The greatest mind are even closer to you genetically yet they're pretty much 100 % different. Different size , intelligence , leg, hand .  We're pretty much all different yet we're all quite close on the gene code.

We seem to trivializes everything today . Hell . Maybe in 1000 years human being will start to urinate in your face to tell you how they love you. Who know. It's a normal animals behavior no?

Like I heard at some point. If you act like a dog I will give you the same respect.

Especially the Quarians. I don't even want to wrap my head around that motley collection of accents.

I liked Javik. He is an interesting character and he really gives a better understanding to the Protheans. They were so advanced not because they were the strongest, but because they had so many other species under them, their success was the success of all.

But they were still mortal. Like the Turians, Asari and Salarians, they had a specific fighting style that all of their subservient races also followed. Javik pointed it out that once the Reapers figured it out, they were ultimately doomed to lose. The Prothean's are much like the Turians, not exactly war like, but a very militaristic kind of life style (at least by Javik's time, who knows if this was the same before the Reapers appeared).

Whenever i did a cross combo with him i would in my head i would say

"LET OUR POWERS COMBINE!"

lol, but yea the quarians accents make no sense as they are all over the place, but every Prothean in the game was clearly African.  Im positive they did this on purpose.  It expresses the sense of a lost civilization and also makes him a tad bit more threatening than if he had like a cockneye british accent or somthing.  If you have Ever seen a mini series years back called "Shaka Zulu" then you will recognize what they were going for.

tell me that doesnt remind you of Javik!
