don't see the point... the casting penalty will get downright nasty if you could stack them.
they sort of took the tech armor concept from ME2 and spread it around to other classes...

can I get a confirmation from a sentinal player? cause tech armor + defense matrix, would give a sentinal a real edge in his main strenght, massive shielding...

Yes. You can use Tech Armor and Defense Matrix\\Fortification\\Barrier at same time.

Just use guns and squadmates I guess with the odd power. It's not a bad idea.MrDudley wrote...

Massive amounts of survivability. A CQC assault Sentinel could get so much damage resistance between Tech Armor, another armor power and a heavy melee kill (if the proper Fitness evolution is taken).
Hell choose Defense Matrix and use your cooldowns almost exclusively to purge it when necessary and you can practically double your survivability. It's a fun and viable build option.
Obviously if your concern is casting you're playing the wrong type of Sentinel to consider taking another Armor power, but there are the two ends of the spectrum to choose from nonetheless.

You can survive almost anything. If you go just for damage resistance you get 70% if you stack a maxed out tech armor with maxed out defense matrix.
With a single weapon you can still have decent recharge times as well. Just make sure it's a good weapon.
