Aside from the ending, your biggest grievance with Mass Effect 3?

Some of the textures really sucked. In the presence of any backlighting, my Femshep's hair became a translucent helmet.
The between mission conversations with squaddies were at their best in the original ME. ME3 improved upon ME2, slightly, and at least poked fun at calibrations.
The Crucible was IMMEDIATELY introduced as the hope of the galaxy. The Prothean Super Weapon was exactly what I expected, but I still rolled my eyes when Liara told me about it on Mars. It was cool, all the same. I just wish it had been the successful culmination of every fallen race's efforts to destroy the Reapers. That would've been suitably epic. :/
Multiplayer having any role in the outcome of my game is unacceptable. If I were a MP gamer, I'd be playing Call of Duty.
I dropped a "f$&@ you, Bioware" when Tali removed her mask and I still didn't get to see her face. Lame! Apparently, sucking at diplomacy could've gotten me a poorly photoshopped pic. :/
Overall, this game was an incredible experience. The ending was inconceivably pathetic, but the first 98% was amazing.

Another issue was the lack of indepth conversations with the teammates and by that I mean ones that you can choose how to respond.

But well.
- Timed sidequest
- No sidequest like in ME and ME2 (Hey Commander, could you speak to this guy to make him do that). But that's pretty logic by the way, there is a war going on.
AND THE MOST ****ING IMPORTANT THING:
- How Bioware treated the ME2 squad.

During the game, i'm forced to collect all these badass squads, ships, frigates, and troopers, with detailed background and uses, get involved with getting everyone I can.
Get to earth, everything starts to fall together troops are inc. Push to HQ and go to debrief.
...
Play in my 3-man squad in a scripted failed escort mission through rubble with like one scenic view of the war every 15 minutes -._-
Seriously, this is the climax of the game, and I don't even get to see an all out battle, or play in one? Even after all thsoe trailers and all of those hints and sidequests? Even DA:O did it better. Was it that hard to script a whole bunch of npc's or design an actual battle?

I was also disappointed by the fact that the majority of the side quests were just fetch quests, as in you just go out, scan for the stuff, and return to the Citadel. There just wasn't enough side missions that took you planet side or to a space station.
And unlike in ME1 and 2, the dialogue was mostly conversations between Shepard and other characters without my prompting. I'm not saying the dialogue wasn't good, but in ME3 I noticed that I can't guide the conversation in the direction I want it to go. I have no control over the conversation other than for major plot points.

ME1: Sovereign
ME2: Harbinger
ME3: ???? Harby doesnt even say hi, just throws beams of molten metal at me.
You have to admit, Sovereign first interaction with you on Virmire was freaky and omnious. Harby's constant taunting in ME2 became annoying at a certain point but you still felt you were directly fighting a Reaper's avatar and notice his hate and menace for you.

1. The quest journal system
2. Fetch-quests
3. Side-lining of ME2 characters except Legion and to a lesser extent Miranda/Thane.

If you notice, he is grossly undersized, and if you look even closer you will notice he is just a normal reaper with a missing front leg.

Exploration was weak, got tired of running in and out of systems. It was bad but not as bad as previous games in that sense. Also, i had trouble with the game freezing when I went to the shooting range.

Honestly? Just that I felt more Jack content was missing... I loved her character, that was seriously my ONLY gripe.

The journal compared to me and me 2
ME2 squads limited appearance time
Where the hell was Harbinger for most of the game and why didn't he speak

Less dialogue options
this!
each convo, shepard got about 1 dialogue choice, it felt very lacking. More like watching a movie than actually playing a role in it.
would have also liked more interaction with squad mates and more locations, but beyond the lack of dialogue choices (and endings) I enjoyed, and am enjoying, the game.
no comment on MP, haven't touched it yet

Also, getting quests from overhearing people on the Citadel. I'd be walking away too fast and would miss a chunk of dialog. This coupled with the Journal made it difficult to know who wanted what and where they were at.

I'd have to go with the Journal. I had a difficult time keeping track of where I was in certain quests, and some got updated without me doing anything at all.

On top of this I also didn't like how they lumped the Assignments and Missions together on the same page. I liked how in ME 1 and 2 they were in separate tabs.

- Hardly any presence of Harbinger in the game, after he spent all of ME2 taunting and chasing Shep
- No "explorable" city outside of Citadel. (Oh boy Omega DLC inc)
- While most LI scenes were done well, I think there needed to be more of a presence of it throughout the game. Only had about two-three conversations with Tali that alluded to it, while I enjoyed them, didn't seem like much.
Overall the game was fantastic, though. Just nitpicks, all those things can be overseen for the rest of an amazing experience (aside from it that which will not be named)

TOTALLY agreed. It would have been so cool to build on one of my favorite parts of mass effect 2, where you assign your squad to do different tasks, but this time you could also have directed fleets, ground forces, etc. As it stands, the war assets didn't even do anything related to the war. Just gave you more choice in the ending.

In the scanning minigame, using the mouse both to move the Normandy and to click the "interact" button - means you need longer, making hit-and-run tactics in systems with Reaperpresence harder than they probably are with a gamepad.
