And... is it weird that I miss planet scanning and Mako missions? xD

Mako, understandable.

Planet scanning? Definitely weird.

Nothing that really bothers me. I was disappointed that they removed the hacking minigames and there is no ground vehicle though. It felt like a lot of the meat of the game was removed.

EDIT: On second thought, the Miranda romance. Felt like it had no effort in it.

No post-campaign save.
(I know it would be impossible in many - if not all - endings, but if a dead Warden can, why can't Shepard?)

OH MAN, I forgot the stupid collectors edition dog. WHAT was that.

Yeah that was underwhelming as could be.

Should have been the varren.

And that varren should have been Urz.
I was seriously hoping that I could bring him on the ship.

The one nitpicky thing? More proper sidequests (ie. not collecting things to take to the Citadel but landing and fighting enemies) and a little less chat between them - I love the chat generally but I wouldn't want lots more added with the additional sidequests, just a chance to enjoy the combat.

Perhaps I have a little irk with the Crucible as well...it seemed to just pop up out of nowhere but it's forgivable.

Ya? Ok i take it of the list :)

I forgot to mention: Shepard was arrested because of what he did in the Arrival DLC in Mass Effect 2. That's what he was on trial for. I imagine a lot of that would've been made more clear, but a large portion of the trial itself was cut from ME3.

The Crucible is a clear Deus Ex Machina. It really makes me wonder about the writing team. Bioware has always said ME was planned as a trilogy. But it seems like they were just making up stuff as they went along, since surely a weapon against the Reapers is something you'd want to foreshadow. It really took me out of the game, too. Everytime someone mentioned the Crucible, I heard "Deus Ex Machina."

Biggest grievance would be that aiming down scopes is borked. Things grab my focus that I'm not trying to shoot and it's very disorienting. One time, I was trying to shoot shield pylons and the scope wouldn't let me zoom in on them. Kept popping over to an enemy that wad s good 10 feet out of the line of sight.

Also, in sequences where you're on a moving platform, the scope doesn't properly take into account your momentum and fails to move the scope relative to the base movement of Sheperd. For example, on the elevator sequence on the citadel, I would zoom in and try to push the reticle upward and it would move at a crawl.

My number 2 complaint would be that the War Room should not fit in the Normandy's hull. Nice try, Bioware, I noticed how you fudged the contour of the ship in the CIC deck map screen (left stick click) to make it look like it would fit. It is a cool-looking room, though, I must admit. But I can't help but picture a big, tumorous lump sticking out the side of the ship. I mean, the war map brushes up against where the window in the old armory used to be!

I'm fine with the ending.

Yeah i pretty much had the same feeling. The galactic tri-color deathray was meh and cliché... I was hoping for less deus ex machina and more guerilla hit-and-run ops, gathering intel about how Reapers work, gathering a fleet to retake Earth using new tactics and tech. The same way Krogan and Turians bloodied the noses of Reapers on their homeplanets.

Once the turn has tide and Shepard and co liberate Earth and kill off Harbinger, Shepard's story is over.

New games could then be made to follow a new hero, in which you start taking back the galaxy. Or even novels, or different genres of games. But the cool universe and setting we have come to love and learn so much about would still be usable for lots of things.

I'm sorry, but you liked Vega? I couldn't stand him. Some random musclehead Jorsey Shore character. Him and the reporter girl I couldn't stand.

Lack of sidequests. The sidequests we DO have are just go scan a planet and come back. BORING!

And off topic- but I have had numerous quest glitch on me. Making it so I cannot turn them in. In Hanar Diplomat I couldn't access the terminals. And in Heating Unit Stabilizers, the salarian I have to return them to is completely frozen, making me unable to interact with him and unable to finish the quest.

Also, I was dissapointed in the squad members this time around. Especially after seeing the great variety(and number) in squadmates that ME2 had.

Yep, essentially the Cerberus storyline.

-Terrible side-quests
-Broken journal
-Auto-dialogue
-Grenades on insanity, as an adept
-ME2 squad mostly ignored
-Not enough interaction with squad
-Unfufilling romance with Liara (It hasn't been years!)
-One hub
-Bailey/Udina's hair colours
-Lack of film grain

Also, and this sort of ties into the film grain, I feel the aesthitic has been changed too much from the other two games. Obviously there was a big change from 1 to 2, but I felt this time the change was too much. Too many lens flares. And I won't mention it by name but, eh, Hold the Line!

Oh, and it seems you cannot play ten minutes without someone saying something along, "The Reapers cannot be fought conventionally!"

-Lack of dialogue/ auto-dialogue -Joker for example, ME1 + ME2 he used to offer great lines about previous missions and the crew, now he's been dropped into repeating. "Commander"
-Lack of exploration + no Mako </3
-Romances weren't great.
-Journal just reminded you a mission wasn't over, no details or anything that resembled a useless indicator for missions.
-All Priorities (Excluding Earth/Ending Sequences ofc) should have been free to choose from the beginning, not a set storyline.

Ya, i see... to understand the beginning you must play the arrival DLC %) ... ok so here my ciritc point at the beginning:

-Missing connection from ME 2 standard to ME 3: a short recap about the arrival DLC would have helped.
Reapers arrive at the viper system, the metorit crashes into the gate, etc. ...

Most of the game is what I'd call my Shooter/RPG heaven. It is almost the best game I've ever played.

But the "cinematic" dialogue kicks my shepard out of character every so often. Paragades / Renegons really got the bad end there.

Not enough of the ME2 squadmates - I'd have liked to have at least some of them back. Though it was pretty fun seeing how Jack developed her character in Shep's absence...

Also, Udina being on the council instead of Anderson regardless of previous choices, and his nonsensical coup attempt. And not enough Tali. There's never enough Tali for me.

And the ending. But that falls under an entirely different category.

Number 1 for me would definitely be the Quest Log issues. I basically just started exploring the 2nd time through Citadel and couldn't figure out if I had picked up quests or not.

The Miranda romance was absolute garbage too. I reloaded after it happened and went for Liara instead. That one was great.

The way you pick up quests is annoying too. It's so easy to miss one, and it also makes it really hard to remember what these things you're fetching are even FOR. it feels like there's no context and makes you forget about the importance of the quests.

Oh yeah, that. Annoying bug.

And the game forgetting/resetting my level, money and customizations twice. Good thing I save early, save often, but I still had to replay some (since I didn't notice right away).
