Granted it is a very useful app to keep one's GaW percentage up when unable to play the main game. But I have 1.9 million credits just sitting useless in my app that I would like to be able to use in the main game.

Come on Bioware, fix the datapad app, this is beyond silly. The datapad was a great idea and i would like to keep using it for news updates!
Agreed, seems like a simple fix!

This app is way past due for an update. The Alliance News feed link to Facebook is still broken. Media section does not have any of the DLC content. Galaxy at War has a loading error 90% of the time. Codex is seriously lacking items from the main game and has nothing from any of the DLC's.

About the only thing it's useful for right is ensuring that +5% bonus XP in MP....I don't have $1.9 mm, but $220K is still alot of waste....

I certainly wouldn't say 'more common', given the prevalence (still growing) of Android devices out there, and I waffle on the 'more reliable'. I've watched my friends with Apple have issue over issue. I've never had an issue with any of my Android devices. iOS and Apple products are no better quality than Android or Android-based products. They're just more overpriced.
The only thing that makes iOS development easier than Android development is the fact that it's one screen resolution versus several, which can be frustrating in a graphically intensive app. If you tailor your app to a certain Android version's required specifications, you can be PDC any device with that version and better can handle the app.
The fact is, EA has long been in Apple's pocket, and their Mobile App release schedule has shown this time and time again. Bioware, too, has had a long-standing love affair with Apple. So, Datapad will probably come. Someday. In the late future. When ME3 is long overshadowed.
Ah well.

I now have 2 million (worthless) credits. Can we please have an update that lets us transfer the credits to the main game?

I would really love to see the credits transferrable to MP, it would keep me more committed to the app if I had a chance to purchases more PSPs in MP as a result of work on the mobile app.

1. It's broken - yep the news link is down and has been for weeks. But worse than that is the way the whole map is a series of images that are downloaded every time - ever tried redeploying fleets while on a really weak network connection? Get signed out for no reason? Get errors about failing to connect when you're on a strong local network? And why can't we rotate the galaxy map? It needs some attention.
2. It's not complete - the codex is a splendid feature, and helps having a handy reference guide by my side when working on writing projects but the Mass Effect Wiki is significantly more complete.
3. Credits are pointless once you max out your upgrades and seem to have no purpose. Allow us to use the credits (870k here and rising daily) in MP for buying packs.
Ideas:
Integrate BSN into the app, give us a mobile-friendly forum interface! Even better would be an MP manifest viewer, weapon stats comparison, etc. And once you get the app working, then work on a port for Android - those guys need love too!

All of this is really good, great resource wasted.

Also agree. These were similar ideas i gave within the BSN survey, but hadnt thought to integrate the mobile app. Sounds like it would be pretty cool but not sure how much time the'd put into it unless it made them enough money. Oh wait, DONT MAKE IT FREE!
