It has now been 24 hours of non-connectivity to GaW for me.

BioWare, please please please fix the datapad app.

 Is anyone else having trouble with the datapad not syncing the facebook feeds? I have uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times already and no luck.

What is the status of bioware working on a patch for the mass effect datapad for ios 6.

If this app is not even being fixed for apple devices, then an Android version is a probable never.

Facebook sync is out for me, too - and sometimes pops up in German :facepalm:

If you quit out of the app (close it entirely using the multitasking bar - NOT just the home button) and restart, it usually works to access GaW once. Sometimes it takes 2-3 tries, but I've never had it need more. A pain in the neck, but approximately functional.

This is with iOS 6, and for the "need an internet connection" error not the "EA Mobile server not available" error.

I think there is still a problem with the me datapad for ios why is bioware not doing anything to fix this issue. A lot of people are going to upgrade there apple products to Ios 6. I hope someone can reach the people in tech support and tell them that there is a huge problem with the me datatpad.

Come on BioWare, the Datapad is a much loved app! Thankfully the in-game mail i get still works, but i want my GaW back! I have kids, i can barely get 10 minutes uninterrupted on the Xbox these days so multiplayer to boost my Readiness is out the window!!!

Yup, it was a buggy and slow app to begin with, now with iOS6 - it's practically dead. Thanks, EA!

Also what do you mean if you quit the game using the multitasking bar? I'm looking at a galaxy map with reload and back on the bottom. It doesn't matter what you do. Turn off phone. Reload back. Hit gaw.

If you seriously want to take the time: you can do a re-boot on your device, and then go straight to the datapad app, it will sometimes work. Sometimes you might have to re-boot your device more than once. But you will eventually be able to load GaW. However, as soon as you back/exit GaW, you will have to repeat the re-booting to get back to the GaW.

This is by no means the way that BioWare should expect us game fans to suffer in terms of using this app.

BioWare? Can we please at least have some comment (any comment) as to:
a) app is dropped and dead,
app is not a priority but will get to it
c) app is currently being worked on

I agree Scott. I even tried multiple reboots of the entire phone and it still wont load GAW. All other aspects work, but not GAW.

Bioware just a piece of friendly advice...most people have the app for GAW not facebook/friend chat/hugs.

Double-press the home button to bring up the multitasking bar. Tap and hold on the Datapad icon there until they start to shake and get - signs in the corner. Tap the - sign.

Works most of the time for me, with iOS 6.

It did not work the first time. Should I try it several times? i assume once you get tothe main screen you simply hit GAW? I am still getting the requires an internet connection..ugh

It's almost impossible to use now - I think I redeployed a couple of times since the upgrade to iOS6 but this has to be getting embarrassing for the BW dev team.

Appreciate this thread may not be seen by the people who have the answers, but if anyone from BW is watching this can you please ask around and find out so we can get some news on whether this app will continue to be supported / developed?
