Hi,

What is going on with the mass effect datapad on ios 6?? Is bioware going to update the app in has been 4 weeks that ios 6 has come out and no patch. Why is bioware doing this to people?

And what about Android? If they are willing to ignore 80% of the Smartphone market, what makes you think they're going to rush out a new version to support ios6?

For the last week the GAW section of the app has worked perfectly for me. Maybe it is luck but if you did something Bioware it is a good thing. To bad the news is still broken.

Hey. I MAY have found a temporary solution. It has worked for me every time.
1) Once you are sure you have logged into the app, click the Galaxy at War tab.
You will now see the screen loading with the 'star-type' loading symbol.
2) While that screen is loading, tap anywhere on the screen at a consistent frequency. I tap in between the loading symbol and the 'back' button, which would be - once loaded - either the Inner Council Space region, or the Earth Alliance Space region.
What should happen next - as long as your phone isn't on silent, is a noise should be heard. It varies for me, between either the sound that is made when you zoom into a region, or the sound that comes when you select one of the three fronts in the specific theatre.
Once you hear one of those sounds, you can stop tapping. Now wait for the 'connection' error to pop up (keeping in mind that you were tapping while the screen was still loading).
3) Click 'OK' to close the 'connection' error pop-up, THEN click 'back'.
If it works for you, it shouldn't take you to the main menu, but it should take you to the Galaxy of War theatre overview (because tapping would have sent you to one of the theatres, and 'back' always takes you back to the overview).
Now you can manage your fleets to try to win back the sectors against the Reapers once more! It always works for me on my iPhone 3GS. I haven't tested it on the iPad. Let me know if it works for you.
EDIT - JUST realised that a similar solution was already posted on another thread. Awkward..

THANK YOU!

I know this is like a broken record - but why, EA/Bioware, is the Datapad app not on Android? I can't imagine any reason why it's not and you have numerous fans of the Mass Effect series on there. I think it would only make sense to support them too. I'll be fine either way - I'll probably get an Ipod touch to play it (and music of course), but I think it would be really great to support it on Android as well. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it happens, regardless!

For the past 3 weeks, i have been able to get my GaW "working" after 4 to 8 startup attempts everytime i want to access it. Of course the Newsfeed is still broken.

They need to fix it so it works before they do that considering how buggy the GAW you wouldn't want it the state that it is currently in trust me.Image IPB

Black ops and halo were the nail in the coffin for this game. The least you can do is fix this so your not totally forgotten.

Black Ops 2 and Halo 4 is the nail in the coffin of what? The multiplayer in Mass Effect 3? Why? They are FPS games.

What does it matter if you're looking out someone's visor or over their shoulder? Still a shooter.

Oh, and Datapad is still broken. So bump for justice.
