User 4: "Are you holding something back, that could quell the large amount of frustration from the community, a tiny hint would be enough."
@masseffect: "Mike Gamble already said on his twitter, if the fans knew what was in store, the reaction would be different."

User 5: "I loved 98% of ME3..but something has to be up w/ ending..too much talent at BW for that business. Keep my saves?"
@masseffect: "We're keeping our saves, that's for sure."

User 7"Its not that the ending was taken in the wrong direction its that it makes NO SENSE. Ashley was on the Normandy? she [was] with me."
@masseffect: "Probably a good thing to be cautious of."

User 8"Do y'all have any ETA when more news will be released? Dying for news on a new ending/DLC."
@masseffect"No ETA yet, but you will be updated via Facebook and Twitter when the news is available :)."

These quotes seriously make me want to cry. You know why? Because they instill hope, and the last time I let my hope get up (ie THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE GAME, WHEN EVERYONE KEPT TELLING SHEP "DON'T WORRY, WE'LL BEAT THESE SUCKERS," AND I BELIEVED THEM) I got seriously crushed.

If nothing comes from this news... I will honestly just give up and never let myself get into a game like this again.

Ugh. Sorry for the shoutyness, I'm a little frustrated tonight.

The "Don't worry!" part gives me a lot of hope.

Bioware should have expected this. When you have fans come to care about the characters in your game it matters what you do to them. I was the one who picked the actions of Shepard, not someone else. It was me who decided if I save the council or not. I was the one who shaped Shepard into the person that he was in the third game. Of course I'm going to be pissed off when you funnel me into those crappy endings.

Not to mention the whole series has been about making choices, some harder then others but still. I was the one doing it all. To have the ending of the last game in the series not take into consideration my choices at all is ridiculous.

Not to mention how Ashley ended up on the Normandy. I romanced her and had her with me in the run towards the Citadel. How she ends up on the Normandy is beyond me and it honestly seems like they got lazy at the end.

They should fix it and I don't care if they charge for it or not. I'm not saying I want a happy ending where my Shepard settles down and has kids but dammit I at least want him to survive and be with his LI and friends. I have little hope for any of it though.

Worst case scenario? the ending has to be the way it is for importing saves into some kind of ME spin off MMO or RTS game that almost nobody will be interested in after the way ME3 finished, and so we'll never get a revised/expanded ending. So the idea that ME would be a self contained story is a lie, and the story that you actually care about will be left as is.

They are already in Damage Control Mode. They need to figure out how to get out of this debacle and yet save face. Make it all seem like they had big plans all along. Obviously they didn't but they need to sell that idea.

They will churn out some DLC to adjust the ending and cook up a indoctrination/Pam's Dream kind of thing and say 'see see see we told you it was all part of the plan.' The only plan right now is who to fire, who to blame, and who to find to fix it. That's what BioWare is up to this week.

I am not sure what to make of all this. The ending to this game has left me with a deep wound that I am not sure if an ending DLC would fix.

Before playing this game, I read about the endings. I dismissed them as being out of context and only by playing the game will I understand it.

I have never played a game before in my life, where I have cared about the characters in such a way that it could affect my emotions deeply. On Rannoch, as Tali says, "I love you" and Shepard responds "Keelah se'lai," I was in tears. I fought that reaper not only for the Quarians and Geth, but for Tali herself.

After accomplishing so much and talking to Tali before the final assault, I wanted more time too and I did not want to leave. Going through the ending and forcing myself to pick red, knowing that is the only way I might ever survive and fulfill my promise to Tali was just speechless. I grieved more for the ending to Mass Effect 3 than the passing of my grandfather.

This game is just awesome. Just like everyone else states, the game is good until the last 5 minutes. I want to hope that BioWare will fix this, however the damage has already been done. :(

EDIT: I am glad I got that out.

I felt the exact same thing, all i want was for Shepard to build a house for Tali on Rannoch and have little babies...:(

They will add a new multiplayer mode: Little blue children swarm cage fight.
There, problem solved.

I don't get the "Probably a good thing to be cautious of." response.

Why should we be cautious?

I read it more as a reason to be suspicious, but the dude's being cryptic on purpose. Or, it could mean that you should be careful about who you bring with you on the final mission because they're going to fix it so that those two die and don't come out of the Normandy?

They will never convince me that their plan all along was to release a better ending down the road, but if they want to run with the idea now because of all the negative feedback, I'm all for it.

Hmm...this definitely seems to be hinting that the ending is not entirely reality.

I think it is wonderful what she has posted here, but the tone coming from bioware is somewhere between dismissive and manipulative.  No large organization likes being portayed in that light.

... This is either Seriously epic trolling that'll kill Bioware comple.... Actually the Original Endings did that for me already...

Or they never did decide how the series should end, released it as is and decided to create an ending with the general expectations of what the ending should have been in relation to what the release endings were for later release?

No, no. That's too much genius for a games studio, I call marketing BS.

To those saying Shep and Tali would have to adopt, not really. If you remember the romance scene, she says our bodies do adapt, that's how we survive. If Biology has taught me one thing, it's mutations can and will occur.

It's kind of silly to tell people to appreciate what they *haven't done yet.*

That would be like asking for an A on homework you haven't turned in yet. "Really, Mrs Widdershins, it's the Best Essay Ever. Go ahead and put an "A" on this term's report card, I'll get you that essay... well, it's awesome, and if you'd read it, you'd give me an A. The sun, it shines."
