I also thought the ending was crap, but I think some people have gone overboard with this, especially since (I think) most signs point to this not being over. Give them a week or so: Bioware pretty clearly has some sort of grand and different plan out there to actually finish the game, and they obviously are trying not to destroy the surprise completely yet.
Now if we wait a bit and there's still no DLC ending or if we have to pay for it, then by all means go crazy: I will too. But right now I think this will only discourage designers from trying more unique approaches to DLC and games in the future.

Agreed. If this really is a PR stunt, then they would most certainly have to offer the Ending DLC for free. Backlash from everyone, not only fans, but those in the media, would universally condemn Bioware and EA for such an action.
If Bioware really does have some Ending DLC waiting, my guess is that it was developed with the actual game, and will have a noticeable amount of dialogue and real closure. Why else would they bother with it otherwise?

Planned ending dlc is a pipe dream. What about people w/o Internet connections? Are they supposed to be content with an incomplete product? Face it, bioware is leading people on with cryptic responses and waiting for people to get bored and forget about this.
I guess the only way i could make sense of it all was to tell myself that there is NO WAY that BioWare could have slipped up this BAD!!! There was just no way!! I refuse to believe that this company that has done soooo well with this game would end it like that!!!!!! HE** TO THE NO!!

Before playing this game, I read about the endings. I dismissed them as being out of context and only by playing the game will I understand it.
I have never played a game before in my life, where I have cared about the characters in such a way that it could affect my emotions deeply. On Rannoch, as Tali says, "I love you" and Shepard responds "Keelah se'lai," I was in tears. I fought that reaper not only for the Quarians and Geth, but for Tali herself.
After accomplishing so much and talking to Tali before the final assault, I wanted more time too and I did not want to leave. Going through the ending and forcing myself to pick red, knowing that is the only way I might ever survive and fulfill my promise to Tali was just speechless. I grieved more for the ending to Mass Effect 3 than the passing of my grandfather.
This game is just awesome. Just like everyone else states, the game is good until the last 5 minutes. I want to hope that BioWare will fix this, however the damage has already been done.
EDIT: I am glad I got that out.
I felt the exact same thing, all i want was for Shepard to build a house for Tali on Rannoch and have little babies...
This was me, too. I cried on Rannoch. It felt so real... I did it all for Tali. I punched a quarian admiral for that girl. And then that ending... Ugh.
Just... so much needless sorrow. I want that house. Maybe a farm. I bet Shepard could learn farming, right? Or take an advisory position with the quarian defense force...
Much of what she is saying just leads me to believe the intention of the endings was for us to make up our own minds about what happened. Which was simply not the right thing to do for a game like Mass Effect.jules_vern18 wrote...
