Tali is ok, but we still haven't really seen her face, it might look like this: %20http://i39.tinypic.com/2ihny1s.jpg

Im trying to not get my hopes too high but I do want to see Liara not marooned somewhere with Joker. It kills me they're torturing us with these hints!

Dear God man,
are you trying to give me nightmares that'll last until I'm the age of the Stargazer?  Stop this craziness now I say, how could you even think Tali could possible look like Pizza the Hut?  O.o

I also thought the ending was crap, but I think some people have gone overboard with this, especially since (I think) most signs point to this not being over. Give them a week or so: Bioware pretty clearly has some sort of grand and different plan out there to actually finish the game, and they obviously are trying not to destroy the surprise completely yet.

Now if we wait a bit and there's still no DLC ending or if we have to pay for it, then by all means go crazy: I will too. But right now I think this will only discourage designers from trying more unique approaches to DLC and games in the future.

I would pay solely to not be surprised. At a time like this, surprises are not what I need; I need clarity and resolution. I need something that will help me sleep at night and make me want to play my game again. Right now all I can do is ache.

Now I'm starting to feel like the endings we got in the final game were really hallucinations. Perhaps Bioware really is trying to pull a publicity stunt and making the true ending DLC (if so, I'd imagine it would be free as well).

Agreed. If this really is a PR stunt, then they would most certainly have to offer the Ending DLC for free. Backlash from everyone, not only fans, but those in the media, would universally condemn Bioware and EA for such an action.

If Bioware really does have some Ending DLC waiting, my guess is that it was developed with the actual game, and will have a noticeable amount of dialogue and real closure. Why else would they bother with it otherwise?

Would also show why they've yet to have someone, anyone, from their stable tell us to simply shutup and that what we got is all we're getting.
Tricksy tricksy Biowares.

My emotional state is a yo-yo, and reading posts here and on reddit is causing them to rebound quite rapidly.

Planned ending dlc is a pipe dream. What about people w/o Internet connections? Are they supposed to be content with an incomplete product? Face it, bioware is leading people on with cryptic responses and waiting for people to get bored and forget about this.

Except now there is a wider range of media attention on this than just us here at BSN.
IF they were to take that route and just try to "wait us out"...the backlash they'd get from all these sites and articles that've acknowledged our issue will be way more than they can handle.

I still get the feeling something bigger is coming for us.  It does make sense to wait until the whole world's had their release though.  I hear lots of people saying it's bad for business...but is it?  The controversy?  If this all goes down like we're hoping, Bioware will be talked about for ages for being this ballsy.  Not necessarily a bad thing.

I don't know what to believe anymore. Which, if they ARE running ARG might be the point, but it hurts so bad not knowing and wondering and then despairing all over again. I want to believe, I just don't want to get burned again.

This isn't a good time to be coy. It would cool alot of us off if they would just say that "Yes we have DLC planned to expand the endings"

I have to say that I honestly played the game witnessed those endings and was mortified.. -_- I guess the only way i could make sense of it all was to tell myself that there is NO WAY that BioWare could have slipped up this BAD!!! There was just no way!! I refuse to believe that this company that has done soooo well with this game would end it like that!!!!!! HE** TO THE NO!!
LOL it just makes me laugh thinking about it. When have we seen a BioWare game end just like that.. Ugh.. this event has had such an impact on me that i am leaving a comment in this forum which i have yet to do.. EVER!! It has even taken up most of my day to the point that my boss was literally having a conversation with me and i didn't even noticed until he asked if i was even listening... NO I WAS NOT LISTENING I WAS TO BUSY CHECKING FOR ANY KIND OF UPDATE POSSIBLE ON THE INTERNET!!! (Of course i couldn't tell him that.. I just said "sorry I have a LOT on my mind right now" )
So I found comfort in the tweets and telling myself that this is all part of the plan and that after it releases in Japan they'll come out and say "HA, GOTCHA!!" Because I SWEAR if they don't.. I don't think i could ever forgive BioWare for doing me dirty like this!!! :crying:

Some really cryptic tweets from Jessica Merizan tonight....

User 1 -Well, i think i'll stop naggin you and trying to get you to talk about the indoctrination theory. :( Good game though!
Merizan - I want people to make up their own minds right now, then when more people have played we'll talk :)

User 2 - then I want to SEE that he was lying. I want to get up and finish the fight with Commander Shepard. Then retire.
Merizan - augh. want. to. discuss! Staying spoiler free for now :P

User 3  - But should've confronted the kid instead. Shep went meekly into the night.
Merizan - are you sure he went meekly into the night?

It would be fun if bioware was doing a razzle dazzle routine on their costumers, but the fact that's too risky. The guy from Forbes has it right, things like this diminish good will. Tricking the audience by lying to them is very risky. I don't think that's happened here. I think all the cryptic responses people are reading so deeply in to have very little to do with the future of mass effect 3, and more to do with the speculative promises of the next product in the franchise.

I am not sure what to make of all this. The ending to this game has left me with a deep wound that I am not sure if an ending DLC would fix.

Before playing this game, I read about the endings. I dismissed them as being out of context and only by playing the game will I understand it.

I have never played a game before in my life, where I have cared about the characters in such a way that it could affect my emotions deeply. On Rannoch, as Tali says, "I love you" and Shepard responds "Keelah se'lai," I was in tears. I fought that reaper not only for the Quarians and Geth, but for Tali herself.

After accomplishing so much and talking to Tali before the final assault, I wanted more time too and I did not want to leave. Going through the ending and forcing myself to pick red, knowing that is the only way I might ever survive and fulfill my promise to Tali was just speechless. I grieved more for the ending to Mass Effect 3 than the passing of my grandfather.

This game is just awesome. Just like everyone else states, the game is good until the last 5 minutes. I want to hope that BioWare will fix this, however the damage has already been done. :(

EDIT: I am glad I got that out.

I felt the exact same thing, all i want was for Shepard to build a house for Tali on Rannoch and have little babies...:(

This was me, too. I cried on Rannoch. It felt so real... I did it all for Tali. I punched a quarian admiral for that girl. And then that ending... Ugh.

Just... so much needless sorrow. I want that house. Maybe a farm. I bet Shepard could learn farming, right? Or take an advisory position with the quarian defense force...

Agreed. My Shep PROMISED Miranda he would find her after everything was finished. And he never will. :(

Much of what she is saying just leads me to believe the intention of the endings was for us to make up our own minds about what happened. Which was simply not the right thing to do for a game like Mass Effect.

If Bioware has an appropriate ending in the works, then why save that as DLC? Why wasn't that in the game itself? If it wasn't ready for March 6th, then why not postpone ME3's release until the appropriate ending was ready to be included? Why drag this out with vague responses? For a PR stunt?

Straight answers would be appreciated. Bioware is losing a lot of consumer goodwill right now.

@masseffect: "Mike Gamble already said on his twitter, if the fans knew what was in store, the reaction would be different."

Will we have to pay for what is in store? Shouldn't our reactions have been different based on the COMPLETE product we purchased? Will we forever need to pay for 'perspective' regarding BioWare games now?

Not an interesting prospect.

Heh, also if they intended ending dlc they would have included it on the disc and just charged you to activate it. You know, like what they did with Jarvik. Wow, they ARE bastards.

Merizan: "wouldn't an official stance ruin all the cool theories out there?"

That would be true if the "cool theories" were the result of an intriguing ending that was fun to speculate about. Instead, they are the result of people trying to make sense out of a confusing mess.
