Let me tell you something my friends. Hope is a dangerous thing. Hope can drive a man insane.

It can drive him to throw himself into a giant device on the advice of a holographic child.

Sounds crazy, I know, but that's ME3's ending for you -.-

Another tweet.

USER: Thank you for an epic story! The end is sad and I cried, but I have no hope for what's coming next. There's still more for Shep, no?
ME3: Thank YOU for playing :) We have no info on Shep at the moment but . . . stay tuned!

I've probably said this before, but there are so many threads now its hard to keep track. I have to say, even if the endings aren't final...the whole not giving us a complete ending after promising us one is still a bit...well...dick.

I mean, I suppose they could always say, 'We didn't promise you a complete ending at release', but that doesn't help. I think if they've got more ending stuff coming it was a massively poor business decision delaying. I would've been fine with the endings if they weren't the end in the game and you had stuff after them. It would be like 'holy crap totally didn't expect that and then got the real ending', now we're just 'holy crap, that sucked, why are they trolling us?'

I was expecting an ending and I would have bought DLC anyway...but now, I will ONLY buy DLC if it 'fixes' the endings. Still have a bit of hope Bioware will do right by us, even if I don't really agree with the whole situation.

Yeah, you're right. If there is some kind of post-ending DLC that makes changes or gives us more information, it should have been included in the original release. Can you think of any other game that could get away with not giving you the proper ending rightaway, even if they did give it away free of charge later?

I still believe they didnt have time to finish the "complete" ending and they already pushed the date back once so this was a way to get the game out AND sell DLC.

Oh man, I can't even describe how hysterically happy I would be if BioWare fixed this.

Idc how. They can explain it away as some kind of convoluted plan (if it is or isn't), they can fess up and take the blame, they can even charge me any two digit number for the patch or DLC. All would be forgiven and I would follow BioWare like a lapdog for years to come. (Not to mention I'd buy ME1 and play the ME series all the way through every summer for a decade)

But, as it stands now, I'm going to need a emergency induction port for all my drinking. *Cheers*

Cutest post ever.

While I want to grab onto any glimmer of hope like the rest of you, remember that no one in Bioware will say something that will appear negative. That impacts sales. Regardless of how ethical ANY business is, it's still a business.

I think most Bioware employees, especially the loyal peons, aren't enjoying this mess any more than we are. We just need to keep together, make our voices heard, and hope for the best

These kind of answers annoy me the most:

User: "Will we ever see more of Jack, Maybe in a DLC? She's my fave character and I'd like to see what happens to her."
@masseffect: "We love her too :)"

User: "More Jack please. I dont care how you do it, maybe some DLC but you have GOT to get Jack in the game more!"
@masseffect: "She is a cool chick!"

Agreed. That just shows we're likely to see the Romantic DLC we've heard about. And I'll bet it takes place during the game's current timeline

Nope...but that being said, ME3 is...like the next level of video games, at least in my mind.  Do I think they should've done what they did, hell no, but I'm still waiting to see what happens.  I just hope that the Forbes people are right and that this sort of stunt can only happen once.

Here's to hoping for a resolution DLC.

Yes

You really shouldn't trust so easily. Their entire job is about ebing able to spin things to make you happy, even when you shouldn't be.

Honestly, sorry if this breaks spirits, but that doesn't provide any hope at all.  It could be she didn't want to say "Oh Joker came and picked up your crew and left at the end."

"Keep my feed spoiler free" and "We have new ending DLC on the way" are VASTLY different things.  I take the former meaning, I don't want to discuss any topics from the game for fear someone reading my feed hasn't played or finished the game yet.

I'm sorry to say: I would actually buy the LI DLC, even with the crap ending. It'd be like saying "goodbye" to the characters.

Nothing else though.

No, but I also can't think of a game that had it's entire plot and script leaked 4 months before it came out, either.

So this isn't exactly a normal situation.

Nope, no good, gotta do it...

If Shepard doesn't get here soon, there might not be a franchise left to save...

I cant believe that there is some sort of plan in hand because I cant think of any company that would gamble like this on trying to generate increased sales. I mean IF the endings had been relatively decent THAT ALONE would have sent the game into orbit as people played and replayed the game and people who hadnt played ME1/2 went out for copies of those to get even more out of ME3. Doing this by teasing with tweets is gambling with the future of BioWare. I just think that they thought they had a good ending and are stunned by our reaction like we were at the ending we got and just do not know how to proceed further.

You're right Glacier, there is a chance that BioWare (somehow) thought they were writing a good ending. But with so much backlash from the community like this, they should consider making a patch and changing it even if that's the case.

@masseffect: "What made you feel that way? We appreciate the feedback. Anything you particularly enjoyed about ME3?"

Surely they know why "we feel that way" by now? -_-

EDIT: Just done another one...

User: "I loved the game first play but hated it second time when I made opposite decisions and had identical results. #ShitEndingToo"
@masseffect: "Why did you not like the ending? What did you enjoy about Mass Effect 3?"

this whole tweet things twitched my mental antennae again-this we-all-know-what ending can't be real and something is up in the air i almost can feel it
btw in like 2 months time Lead writer of BW on MassEffect publishes a paper "crowd control-how to fake an ending to create mood for riots, and how later fix it not to get killed by fans outraged by fake ending-tested on large control group"
