It feels like the reactions we've been getting so far imply that the fan reaction isn't coming as a huge surprise. This is further leading me to believe that this was somehow planned whatever that may lead to.

Not sure, but it certainly instilled a sense of hope in me.

And exactly what tweet boosted your hopes?
I guess it isn't the trololo man tweet.

there is another tweet i found in the Liara thread:

@masseffect Are you holding something back, that could quell the large
amount of frustration from the community, a tiny hint would be enough

@jakefinn94 Mike Gamble already said on his twitter, if the fans knew what was in store, the reaction would be different.

They definitly have something, just nobody here knows what it will be.
Still I'm feeling something like hope...

And the frustration builds.
Another thing I just realized....we all know they said there would be NO POST-ENDING DLC.  But that's not what we're after is it?  You can't cry for post-ending DLC when you don't HAVE an ENDING.

Argh...I'm gonna go get a beer.  And I don't even drink.

The last one seems like it's actually saying something. Then again, it could just be them hinting that the problem is that we didn't understand the ending or that we read too much into it when they told us our decisions matter in deciding which ending we get.

All I know is I'm not going to be please when "Your decisions matter" gets rolled into, "It all affects war assets which affects the ending." Nope, that is not what we were led to believe.

I fear they are setting up to make more money off DLC...
It's not that I'm against it, but that's pretty low blow. Just give us our story straight.

It's PR. If they said anything other than vague hints, it would frustrate us even more.

Personally, as someone without a Twitter account (and someone who can't follow the format ;_;) I'd love it if people could collect the tweets in this thread.

Again, best case: we've got hope.

Worst case: we have a list of more documented lies :P

Keep them coming!

Stringing people along like this is really risky, because if they don't have anything, or it's something to do other than the ending, the backlash now will be nothing compared to the backlash then.

What those tweets tell me is that @MassEffect wants to be a sadistic beacon of hope... or the person on the other end atleast has a sense of humour... I hope its the latter in this case. XD

There was a tweet that mentioned Mike Gamble. It said something about what they had in store, and how if we knew we wouldn't be reacting the way we were.
And no, it wasn't the trololo. :P

EDIT: Whoops, someone posted it on the front page.

Maybe the game was meant to be even bigger? But they wanted to release it ... 6th of march. So they needed to split it to bigger expansionpacks?;) Hopefully..:)

Hate to tell you Asphodel, but the vague hints are almost, if not MORE frustrating.

Stop being vague and just answer the dang question. I don't really care about all the pretense and junk and trying to be vague or cute. It's not amusing. If there will be more to the ending, just come out and say it. If there won't be, just come out and say it. If that's how the ending was supposed to be, but bio is now reconsidering...just come out and say it.

All this trying to be vague thing is only infuriating. I'm not amused...and actually a little upset with how they've approached the entire thing thus far.

Worst case scenario? They have no plan, are trying to save face, have no plans on doing anything, and are still using this controversy to drum up more sales.

How exactly is this helping their sales? People I know have been actively advising others against buying this game if they still want to enjoy the previous ME titles.

I bet we're in for some great multiplayer DLC!

I honestly don't think Bioware has such a massive disconnect with the fans they think that multiplayer DLC will be a huge treat for the fans. It'd be like creating the expectation I'm getting a pony and then you give me a View-Master. OK thats cool but why did you make me think I'm getting a pony?

I suspect that Gamble is so out of touch that he thinks a MP dlc or a weapons/armor pack will placate folks.  If that is what he is thinking the frustration here will truly turn into Rage.
