I've pointed out some things (Citadel doesn't blow completely up in best ending...at worst if on PC it loses the upper right arm and the upper left arm is bent), a retreat/withdrawal is called (which people are finally noticing and acknowledging, though still not aknowledging that this could be also a time when most of the non-human fleet and whoever else COULD have left earth space, not definate, but a possibility)...
So I wanted to point out something else. Anderson doesn't BEAT you anywhere. At least every single one of my ending playthroughs thus far he says something to the degree like
"I followed you up, but I'm in a different location than you."
AKA...he didn't BEAT you to the beam, he was NOT in front of you...he followed you. He could have done it when they signaled a retreat and he saw the Reaper go away, or who knows...but he didn't beat you into the beam, he followed you and got to a different spot.
Now granted, with all that's been stated I'm leaning towards the indoctrination idea more currently (I looked behind me after I got up and didn't see ANYONE behind me, no companions, no others...no Anderson), and it's odd that he's able to be controlled or held by TIM...BUT...
There is no glitch about him beating you to the beam...as he clearly says he followed you up.
