I think this is the downloadable content, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, at first, I got the disc read error after the first three lines of dialogue. After cleaning didn't work, I actually took it back to Gamestop, since I bought the scratch insurance, and got a new disc, but I got the same thing. I deleted From Ashes and re-downloaded it. This got me a little further --- I got all the way to the scene of the shuttle landing before the error hit me. After, I tried installing the game to my hard-drive, which didn't help, and finally I tried clearing the cache which didn't help either. I suppose I could try deleting the expansion again, clearing the cache and then redownloading, but I'd like to see if anyone else has had this problem and found a fix for it.

Well, I tried deleting the cache again, then re-deleting and downloading the dlc yet again, but to no avail. So, it would seem that I have absolutely no recourse

I had this problem tonight - I started the Eden Prime DLC mission "From Ashes", and not long after I had a "Disc Read Error".

... which makes no sense, as the game discs are installed, and "From Ashes" itself is DLC.

Not tried again yet. Gave up in disgust as I'd already had other freezing issues while trying to play tonight.

The mission was perfectly fine on my first playthrough, though.

Did you ever get it working?
