Mass Effect doesn't seem to be able to pick up any sound coming from my Mic. I know that it works(It works with Skype/Ventrilo/Mumble/Team Speak), and Mass Effect can detect it as a recording device in the opions, but nobody can ever hear me talking on it in game.

They have to turn it on too, as in... they have to decide they want to hear you. It is entirely likely they have the same opinion as many of the mature players on here share: turn voice chat off, unless they want to use it specifically. They dont get to find out that you are sensible, because they are too busy blocking out the immature players. Sad but true.

I've been in games with people from my friends list and we were trying to use the in game voice chat. They could all hear each other, but nobody could hear me.

Hmm.. okay well that is different. Given you have TS/Vent, I will assume you understand PTT. i'd probably give that a go, so you retain control of transmitting, but beyond that, you could be up for anything from waiting on a patch to reinstalling the entire game. Given you are the one with the problem tho, from your description, it must be at your end, as they can hear each other and not you, and Voice chat is either all on or all off, far as I can tell.

I had PTT set up, when I'm talking the speaker below my name in the lobby flickers a bit to show that I'm somewhat talking but people still can't hear me. I imagine i'll be waiting for a patch.

I kind of wish I could test my mic in game so I could test things more efficiently.
