It's not just by warning her about Kai Leng, because I did that (and she was loyal in ME2) and still bit the dust when I picked renegade in the conflict.

The only thing I can think of was that she was my LI, but I broke it off with her. Maybe that's another trigger. So this time, I didn't break it off and I'm doing everything else the same... but I'm cheating on her B)

see how THAT turns out. lol.

i belive you'll need both loyalty AND paragon to save her.

i picked the paragon line and talked her father to release the girl in exchange of his life. But Miranda thrown him out of the window anyway.. bad girl..

I can confirm that Miranda's fate is either bugged, or influenced by random factors.

My story arc and my character fulfills all requirements, but she still dies in my playthrough regardless of paragon or renegade, also, i never get the possibility to shoot her dad myself, no matter what.

PS: Don't cancel too early, throwing him out of the window does not necessarily mean she dies.

Yeah I'm not too sure what the criteria is. I played with an imported FemShep. I had Miranda's loyalty from ME2, I warned her about Kai Leng, (I obviously was not in a relationship with her, being female), and I chose the red renegade charm option. Henry lowered his gun and Miranda biotic burst him out the window and she survived and joined my WA list as 'ex-cerberus'.

You have to warn her about Kai Leng, not break up with her (if you're in a relationship at the beginning of ME3), have her be loyal, and convince her father to let Oriana go (with a red/blue choice, not the normal choices). If you did all of that and she still died, I have no idea what the problem is.

I'm curious did you talk to her in the apartment on the citadel after receiving her email.

This is necessary for her to survive. She'll ask for access to alliance intelligence; if you say no, she will not survive.

I didn't know Miranda could die. I can't remember what I did but I know she lived.

I actually never got an email from her. I walked onto the Citadel and she appeared randomly as a NavPoint on my map. But yes, "warning her" means going all the way to meeting her in the apartment and giving her Alliance access.

she died in my first playthrough, i was devastated, like the others deaths. im curious i decided to rekindle a relationship with ash and turned down miranda (also one of the hardest choices to make). if i were to not rekindle a relationship with ash and go with miranda does that mean ash will die??

1. Talk to her on the Citadel.
2. Warn her about Kai Leng
3. Give her Alliance Resources
4. Paragon/Renegade her father and let her kill him.

That's what I did. She was also my LI from ME2 and loyal, and was my LI in ME3 also.

Hmm.... I played a completely Paragon role. The only time I chose a Renegade trigger was with Kai Leng, and that's because I actually thought he was gonna kill Shepard. lol. So it wasn't a very Paragon thing to do, but it was hella cool.

Back on point tho, I didn't even know Miranda could die. She lived for me. Straight Paragon, loyal from ME2. Not romanced. Dunno what else to add.

Yeah like others have said you need to speak to her at every opportunity that is available, you need to give her the data she wants, you need to not have cheated on her if romanced, you need to warn her about Kai Leng.

No, Ash doesn't die like that. You can choose to kill her or let her live when you face Udina.

I don't think I ever warned her of anything. I just had the dialog to talk her father down. My paragon was full because it's pretty much impossible for it not to be. Every fetch quest gives you paragon points in my experience.

As far as the romance issue goes, you can tell her that nothing has changed the first time you talk to her and still go on to romance other characters. The "point of no return" for that relationship is when you visit her in the apartment on the Citadel, at which point not continuing the romance no longer dooms her to death.

I saved Miranda in my second playthrough. She had barely a scratch on her. She wasn't my LI, and I was roughly 50/50 Paragon/Renegade. (Oddly, Tali still got drunk in her honor and started paging the rest of the crew one-by-one, but who doesn't want to have that?)

So, I can shed no light on why she survived. I did have her loyalty in ME2, but I didn't go out of my way to be good friends. It must be a mixture of factors,

Three playthroughs (Paragon, Renegade, Paragon) and she died each time. I had her loyalty from ME2 where she survived the suicide mission but was not my LI.

I spoke to her twice on the Citadel. Once in the Spectre office via the terminal where I warned her about Kai Leng and the other in her room where I gave her Alliance network access.

Each time I dissuaded her father but she tossed him through the window and then she died.

Does anyone know how encouraging Miranda to speak to Oriana in ME2 affects this? Miranda lived in mine. I didn't even know she could die.

Also, for those who had Miranda live, doesn't Tali's awesome drunk scene seem a little out of place if Miranda survived? I mean, it was great, but her dialogue didn't make much sense if Miranda lived through the ordeal.

she has lived in both of my playthroughs, I always get her father to let oriana go in exchange for his life, and he agrees and Miranda blows him out the window, then she talks to her sister and says thanks, and goes somewhere else, then I talk to her on the message thing on earth before the final BS insues

at first I thought she was jealous of Shepards close friendship with her, but then she started talking good about her, then I realized it was about her own father issues with Rael and she saw herself in Miranda a little bit

It seems to be random because in other threads people have reported doing 'all of the right things' and even the same things on different playthroughs yet sometimes she lives and sometimes she dies.

You warn her about kai leng in the specters office after citadel priority 1 . Shell prepare herself and she'll survive.
