I just played ME2 again, so I could import the character to ME3. I just get done doing so, decide to install ME3, so I erase the ME2 install. Only, along with it goes my saves. I just wasted every single moment I spent finishing the second. I can not believe I did that. Got everything, explored every star system, gone...all of it.
I feel like the dumbest person on the planet right now. 60+ hours, gone

Best thing I can suggest is using a save file editor, or something of the sort. Sucks though.

You should back up your save files regularly. Also back up your profile which can be found in the BIOgame folder. This is where achievements are stored. Useful in the future.
For your current situation, a save game editor could work. There are also other utilities you could use if you really want to speed things up. These can be found on the masseffectsaves website I believe. Or you can get saves from there as well but I much prefer making my own sheps.
