Just today, I played a few games of multiplayer and was in the game with obvious cheater, If I knew I should report him/her I'd remember his nick :?

s/he was a cheater 100% I played 4 games with that person and every game s/he had one of the new characters, batarian soldier, asari justicar, krogan vanguard and geth engineer, and everytime s/he equiped one of the new weapons at level X the geth SMG, batarian spike rifle and that assault rifle with explosive rounds,

I mean where is the fan in this when you have all the best equipment from the begining ....

Id love my guns at lvl x and lovely new characters but the **** unlock system coupled with the fact that I cant play all the time means that ill forever have low uncommon/gold guns.

I also cant choose the race I want.

Is it any surprise that people cheat and farm when this game has the worst unlock system in the world.

p.s I dont cheat and I normally hate cheaters but I understand why some do it in this game.

Actually that mindset seems pretty reasonable to me.  I havn't done any exploiting, but I don't see anything wrong with it in this case.

I'm sorry, but i paid 60 dollars for this game, and in return i get treated like this is some sort of "free-mium" game?  The whole "buying packs for real money" thing is a HUGE scam.  Why should we have to farm a billion credits to navigate the world's worst unlock system, which was made intentionally terrible as a way to try and encourage people to get impatient and spend more money on packs, especially when those customers already spent at least 60 dollars on the actual game?

You realize people are paying EA money in return for something imaginary, right?  At least stuff like the controversial day 1 DLC was ACTUAL CONTENT!!!  I think it's sketchy when they nickle and dime you with premium DLC that's bassically plot required (like arrival, as opposed to optional, like pinnacle station).  But at least that's ACTUAL CONTENT.  These packs are just imaginary.  All they do is change a few numbers to unlock something.  Just like in the hockey game where you can buy "+5 speed."  That's not content, that's a variable.

I'm sorry but I don't want to play world of warcraft farming for hours and hours to unlock some gear I want, or some character I want.  I just want to play the game.  If they wanted / needed money to add on multiplayer, then they should have charged a flat amount for the actual content.  I'm never paying them a penny toward their packs, so if I were to exploit to get huge amounts of credits (which I havn't), I don't see anything wrong with that.  Consider it a fix for their intentionally horrible unlock system.  And since it's co-op, it's not like you would be killing other human players who are at a big disadvantage to you.

I'm with you on hating the unlock system, I hate the freemium model and I hate microtransactions.  I'd rather they let me buy the characters that I want to use and not have to wade through buying wave after wave of "baseball card pack" hoping to get what I want.  I think the current model of buying with credits would be fine to replenish consumable items such as cobra missiles, medi gel etc but the whole weapon\\character thing is what really drives people to purcahse these packs with actual money (undoubtedly the reason why it's set up this way).  What I don't understand is the cheater mindset whether its farming for credits on ME3 or in Battlefield 3.

I am curious as to what sort of cheating that is going on.

The only form of "cheating" that could be of any harm to the players is having Idlers standing around and gaining XP/Credits they did nothing to earn. Otherwise there is nothing that is overly harmful to ME3's MP going on.

Usually I would rage if knowing if someone was using something such as illegal console mods to get an edge, but since there is no PVP, nor will there ever be any if Bioware hasnt made another attempt to make misleading comments, I see no harm in even those being used.

Disclaimer: I do not in any circumstance advocate the use of mods or any other means of cheating in any video game and those that wish to use them should do so knowing they are at risk of having their console banned if caught.

Remember how geth evolved and became..uhm..well you know
So far i havent met anyone cheating,at last not that i know of.

If ME3 had a system that allowed players to use their credits only to buy the items and weapons they wanted rather than spending them on these ridiculous "packs" and just hoping they get lucky, I might feel different.

As things stand now though, I say: "Cheaters, more power to 'ya! And good luck!"

The store system is crap. I've got more "ammo clips" than I'll ever use, more medigel than I'll ever use, more ops survival packs than I'll ever use, and lots of mods for weapons I'll never use. What's the point in that? It's like a collectible card game where you get three Jar Jar Binks cards in ever package, and it's not even a Star Wars game.

i don't see how how you can get in trouble for doing the credit glitch its not our fault that its in the game its a exploit and people need to stop complaining about it maybe if u had friends you could play with them instead and worry about other people

I shoulda taken down the name. Played a game with someone barely in the 100s today playing as a Geth with a level 7 Widow. I'm midway in the 300s with no Geth and just got a level 3 Widow. Sure, he could have been really lucky and magically/legitly gotten it, but I doubt the odds of that actually happening is extremely slim.

It would be nice if the PC/Origin version of the game had a way to view your last game matches. Having access to names/stats would be good not just to help report, but also nice if you get in a good team and later want to add them as friends.

Also from the high amount of credit glitch complaints lately I'm assuming EA/Bioware has listed no information on even attempting to fix the problem? I saw a while ago they have a list of "known problems" but I haven't checked that for a while, nor when I did look at it did I see any updates on how fixing known issues was going or even an ETA for said fixes.

did you ever think that perhaps he only really plays one class
I'm like 158 but my friends and I do gold runs all the time, when I play in public forums i'm usually at the top, with people that have a much higher N7 score than me.... but that's because I found a character and build that I like so I only play him and I don't promote. Really I think the N7 score is pointless, anyone can level a character up to 20 then promote, it doesn't mean you're good, you could have been carried through the game by others

Just saw a player with over 1000 N7 points.
OMG!
Potential cheater. I doubt even someone playing non-stop could get that O.O
They even have N7-Valient and somehow do headshots every shot -_-

Plus last match, they had 70k points and the next person has 22k

I finally got in a match with someone just hanging out. One person apparently realized in round 1 and quit right after that. I realized after round 2 and just let myself die round 3. Luckily I got experience from it and he got none and no credits. Still, its far more annoying than I was even thinking it would be.

Culprit's Name: Aesdeyn (401 N7)
System: PC

EDIT:  And I know this isn't really the thread for it, but I do highly dislike the buying feature.  It would be better if we at least got to pick what sort of item we are randomly going for.  Like 40k: random character(s), 50k: random gun(s) or random _____ type of gun, etc so it would still be somewhat luck, but give better chances to at least get what we need/want.

After playing TF2 long enough I'm used to the buying feature and it doesn't bother me.

Also it's nice that Bioware acknowledges that there's cheaters, but...I mean are you guys even surprised, given that you made all the files client-side to modify themselves?  If you were serious you would have made a server-side consistency check...

Bioware, I believe you're concerned, but I don't believe your capitalizing on your concern judging from your decision to allow client-side file modification and no consistency check.

I wish you could send some of that medigel my way. All I have are Ammo Packs. Seems every time I buy a Pack, it gives me Characters, so I can add more color to their appearances. Never mind the fact that most of my characters are maxed out Appearance-wise, I still get them.

I also rarely get Weapon Mods, but the few I do have are high level because I keep getting the same ones. Type V in nearly everything.

I've met two of them. Best damn skilled players I've ever fought with. I highly doubt they cheated, but one of them was able to defeat half a Cerberus wave while the rest of us were dead. Sure, it took him/her a while, constantly running from one side of the map to the other, but he/she did it.

Although, that one's Valiant was able to take down an Atlas in like 10 shots. :?

So I think I might be in danger of being banned because someone else hacked the server and gave all the players over 15 million credits, caught up in the moment I spent it foolishly, now I fear im under threat of being banned. I hope it does not come to that, but if it does I ask Bioware kindly to please at best let me off with a warning or at worst reset my account, I am an honest player and find cheating repaulsive, I wish to keep playing Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer but I clearly cannot if im banned, so I apologise for being foolish.:(

Here is more info on what happened

Bioware-EA please check italian scoreboard, X-SEM3 and X-SANDI making like 300 rank every 2 hours, almost impossible, X-SEM3 just raised his rank from 2580 to 2985 in less that 3 hours, and this is real frustrating for who like me try to reach high scoreboard position, DO SOMETHING AND ASAP, ban cheater and exploiter and remove from scoreboard......

Only problem I have is leechers. If only the game would boot players that have been idle for a prolonged period of time....not like it hurts the team if you lose a inactive player anyways.

The only major issue i see is the simple farming glitch to pick off 45000 cash in less then 15 min. nothing else is that big of an issue in ME3. Aimbots?? who cares its a AI/Bot your killing. If you get offended enough because you lost one or two kills, why are you online in the first place. theres a reason why they call it CO-OP Multiplayer.Your points are grouped up and you get the same amount of experience and cash no matter if your the top guy in the match with 70000 or the lowest with 15000. If you want the glory of saying you were the top guy one time, remember its just a video game and dont compare this multiplayer to that of a first-person shooter like battlefield or Call Of Duty, because your not vs bots in either of those two games. Its like the people who complained about prestiging in combat training in black ops, your not gaining any significant benefit because your versing bots.

Right, so a lot of the posts I read in this thread boil down to "that guy was really good and had good stuff, he must be cheating!" Actually, some people just have no lives, or have one account for their fraternity, etc...

Actual cheating would be when you join a game with your shiny new Krogan Battlemaster and end up fighting Reapers, Cerberus, and Geth... at the same time. Atlas mechs and Primes covering the advance of Banshees, things like that. While this was weird and awesome, after the second game I noticed that we were getting about triple money too... which is when I left to go send an email to their report thing.

I am reasonably sure that THAT was cheating... "people with good stuff" probably just means they farmed Firebase White/Geth/that-one-corner for awhile (on that note, I don't consider that an exploit... everyone on every map tends to pick a spot and hold it, that particular spot just happens to be effective at fighting Geth- and it's no cakewalk). Some people cheat, yes, but cripes, have some faith in people.
