I don't think you actually understand what encompasses "cheating". ABUSING an EXPLOIT is CHEATING. It has always been cheating. It never stopped being cheating. The industry knows it's cheating. You are not being clever by saying things like "a hurr a durr, Bioware are the ones who let the glitch into the game, it's their fault these people are using it to get money". NO. It's the peoples' fault for abusing it.

And honestly, the people who abuse it are idiots anyway.

Case in point: When you signed the User Agreement ( and you did, or else you wouldn't be playing the Multiplayer ) you agreed NOT to abuse exploits or bugs. You agreed to that. If you're going to argue morals and what's "right" or "wrong", you're AUTOMATICALLY wrong because you did something you said you wouldn't do. You're immediately a liar, on top of being a cheat. Additionally, because you just violated the agreement you signed with EA / Bioware, you have given them permission to ban you.

It doesn't even have to be immediately, either. You can think you're safe now, because you don't think EA / Bioware will ban everybody abusing this glitch- but because you broke the contract, they can ban you for ANYTHING now, down the road. Badmouth them on the forums? Banned from online play. Beat their score in a game? Banned from online play. Hell, they could just decide they don't like your screen-name any more and ban you for THAT, keeping you from using any more EA Online services or multiplayer access, and you wouldn't be able to say or do jack about it.

I would honestly pity the people who abuse the glitch if I didn't find them and their bass-ackwards way of thinking so detestable to begin with.

Had a guy on Fire Base White just stand in the extraction zone for the whole match. On Bronze even, like really? Friggin' weird. Also had my first offer to participate in a "credit glitch." I was so freaked out I exited the lobby before looking to see who it was.

Actually, this multiplayer can be competitive. Just because we're not killing each other like lame COD games, doesn't mean there's not competition. There's just a prevalence of teamwork which overshadows competitiveness. And cheating taints both of these things and makes them a moot point.

Sat there the entire time with like 5k while I and the rest of the team had 40k. Constantly died, did extremely minimal, obviously trying to boost off us.

I seen players doing nothing for 3 or 4 waves. But its not a game bug is a player bug in the head. Whats the point playing a game if you going to do nothing in it or even buy it???? You cant stop players doing nothing. Cos its not a game bug... Just report them. I seen level 19 players doing and go to 20 after doing nothing in games.

Sadly cheaters are in all games ie MW2 and 3 you get warned in that game for camping and lets players know.

 I believe the whole concept of this MP @ the begining is how EA can earn more $$ from its customers. by purchasing goodies trough out points to those who really wanted a beter gear.Some of them have the money to buy the goodies, and some must do alot of extra works to get em. 
My point is, 
If i join a MOD game, HONESTLY ????? i just stay and play the game, WHY ?????  because eather way, i also enjoy the benefit from those MOD server, (( IF I CAN FIND ONE )).
The benefit from this MOD sever
- i could purchase goodies- and boost my character level

As Quoted @ the very beginning of this topic, this MP module it only a CO_OP  which doesnt harm you or your team m8. Tell you honestly it only makes your life easier. I DO NOT support the cheater, sinds my MP campaign back 12 years ago, i know it feels, get wacked everytime you play Team death match game, Cuz someone useing a GOD mode, its so frustrating.  But this is CO-OP game that EA intended to make at the very beginning.  its an co-op game which you have to take care the man/girl next to you.. it doesnt mater if your team m8 got MOD or not, because if you get hurt, he's the one who revived you and get you up to speed back to game and finish the mission, that is what it count during the blitz mission. Its the IDEA behind the CO-OP purpose that you have to play together side by side and watch over they back.

me my self and i ?!?!?!?.. i considered lucky that i can buy this game. even though i have to stop going out for 3 weeks spent money only to stay home and finaly can purchased this game at the end of the month. i do not know if this game truely intended for RICH people only who can benefit the BIOWARE credits everytime they wanted the best stuff from BIOWARE. I cant afford that, im a poor bastard, who really in love with this game.  but i do not have the luxury to purchased the bioware points for my ego to buy the SPECTRE packs. it is true that is heard, some of rich plebs who spend thousand of $$$ to level their ego for this type kind of game. And im sure i speak on behaf of many people in here who has a same situation as mine. But i can't blame the MODDER also, because how BIO introduce this Points to upgrade you gear is ridicilously crazy.

Did i support the cheater ??  my answer is always no. 
Did i want to give away their name to Bioware ?? my answer also no. 
If i join a mod server, shall i stay and play the game ?? my answer is Hell yeah !!!! its my lucky day !!!... easy point, thanks to this guy. 

am i affraid to get banned because im playing on random MOD server if i can find one ?!?!?!... offcourse im affraid, but whats the point ? im not the one who cheating, if BIOWARE intended to BAN me because i randomly hit the search game and ended in MOD server, then so be it. **** happens. But remember this.

The reason i buy this MASS EFFECT game, because i was falling in love with the storyline. thats it. im not falling in love with the multiplayer that BIOWARE offered.  if i want to play a real Multiplayer for real, i shall play BATTLEFIELD 2  or CALL OF DUTY series games. 


Eather way, noone can hold their grudge against a cheater, 12 years exp, many new game offered Anti Cheat system, but still untill now, those Hackers always 2 step away from the game developers. So instead chassing an losing ends, EA or BIOWARe should came up with a new idea, how you guys going to expand the multiplayer mode in the future.

FYI.. if you guys didnt know, we already have 1 casualties here in HOLLAND, because some guy playing Mass Effect continuesly for 4 days without pause, and he died.  Saying this guy doesnt have a life ? i think this is one of the prooven harsh reality how people addicted to MASS EFFECT story.  i can say hes a poor bastard, but i cant blame him eather. i luv this game also. But i know my limit.

Things like that are easy to get past. The only true way to stop it is to give the party the option to kick the non-playing player in-game.

lol I thought the whole online cheating thing in me3 was a bit over blown... but I just saw a guy with singularity that could kill everything on the map instantly. He would just fire of singularity and stand there... and the log would fill up with

Things like that are easy to get past. The only true way to stop it is to give the party the option to kick the non-playing player in-game.

Require a player to score x3/wave in order to get any credit or XP for that wave.

 i think COD is one of the worst games and i dont see why some one would compete in this game for score it dosnt matter who gets more every one gets it in the end and in a true competitve mulitiplayer game you need real people because AI cant change there stratgey like a real person can they are limited to what there script is

Warning: I'm not playing seriously since I noticed that the loby was hacked, the game was being hosted by the player "i420foryou" with automatic WIDOW.
Any MOB was dying without a shield with one hit.

To be honest I get more annoyed by the people playing as Krogans who constantly melee and end up getting the team killed around level 8 because he dies in the middle of a horde and some sap team mate tries to revive him. And of course the Krogan ends up with the most XP. Cheating in a co-op game is only a minor irritation to me.

I know I don't want to be the bottom score when the match ends. I prefer 3rd or 2nd. 1st if I can get it. 

Of course, it doesn't really matter, but it's more a point of pride for me. And any cheating just turns it into a boring fish-in-the-barrel shoot.

It's coop game, not competitive. Why do people think that? Scores don't matter, finishing wave 11 with all 4 alive is a lot more important than "individual" scores, who are calculated in a coop way anyway. If someone dies he keeps getting points lol. Some don't understand.

If it was a safe non cheat environment N7 rating would matter somehow to increase a sort of healthy competition between the best players (thing which is not possible atm)
