I am familiar with the credit farming glitch/exploit. It hurts no one and requires cooperation of the entire team/lobby. Probably cannot be fixed as it would have been already. Shouldn't be fixed. If people didn't have to invest an absurd amount of time to gain access to the content they have already paid for, than they would not hack or exploit. I paid full price for the game (more in fact because its the CE), is it fair that i may never unlock all the weapons, mods, or characters because i have a life? Bioware created this problem, they shouldn't punish others for simply wanting what they paid for.

See, this is probably the stupidest argument I've ever heard against the unlock system. Because "I paid for the game and should have instant access to the content". It's like you've NEVER played a video game before in your entire life. I mean, it's not like UNLOCKS have been a staple of video gaming since the earliest mainstream consoles- it's not like they had special REWARDS for beating the game, or beating the game a certain way, or within a certain time, or a certain number of times. It's not like every other Multiplayer game requires you to actually put in EFFORT to get new weapons or characters. Except it IS like that because that's what everybody does.

If you want to ask for a system that gives you weapons based on the things you ACHIEVE in multiplayer, ask for that- but don't pull out this half-baked argument that because you paid full-price, you shouldn't have to unlock anything.

Not really sure if this was leeching XP or not. Gold match on white. We ran to the room with the two computer consoles, and he launched a turret. Fired a few shots, then sat there only firing off an occasional shot (hardly a thing). Wave 3 came and we had to hack, he didn't move at all, not even when I called out to him over the mic. Wave 4 I asked if he was even going to move and he finally got out from cover, launched a turret, and actually participated in that wave. After that he went back to mostly sitting there and only firing off a rare shot here or there until wave 11 when he ran to the extraction point and actually helped us fight until time ran out.

I finished a Silver match and the top player had 97,000 experience and the rest of us had 30,000 each. What's the normal point spread for silver? His 97,000 seemed really high, but I suppose if he truly had been hacking the system his score would be crazy higher than that. How do you get 97,000 XP in a match? Good weapons and aggressive playing?

I occasionally have over 100k xp in bronze matches, so yes, it's possible to do that without cheating. Especially on low difficulty the more aggressive classes (Vanguard, mostly) have a clear advantage over the ones that deal damage more slowly. Add to that maybe a few players who are just starting out and a some luck with the map/enemy and experience scores like that are feasible.

Same experience, different game & time. Except I intentionally wiped the team when I noticed him leeching. Don't know why anyone bothers putting up with that ****. Just wipe the team after a credit round and exit the lobby. Don't waste more time & effort than you have to.

Happens all the time. Especially if the rest of you aren't as skilled and don't have that good gear. Don't see it happen that often with soldiers or sentinels though. If I try hard I'm usually at the top of gold PUGs with 100k or close to it.

Infiltrators can snipe kills so easily. AAs can one shot unprotected mobs with throw and it has a 1 second cd. SE's on FBW Gold Geth can bunker down and cause massive damage with a hornet + AP + dmg spamming ED. ED makes them god-like.

@ God-like Krogan, its just silver... compared to gold matches I feel invicible as a Krogan.

Whoever this guys was just standing in cover (not stuck) the entire match up until the last round. XP/credits leecher? Silver difficulty on the White map. I shot at him a couple times to get his attention, but he just shot back. lol I'm still a newb to the multiplayer world, but this is my first troll experience.

Well that kind of hacking (if any real) doesn't disturb me, because XP in the end are distributed to all party memebers.

What I didn't like is I was Joining a random players Gold Lobby, the guy then decided to change it to silver, so I had to play silver, to my surprise the whole match everyone was one shotting, it was the most boring game ever.

This is the kind of cheat that breaks the game in my opinion.

Also reducing the number of waves or having 100 missiles, this is bad for everyone. Because there is no team play, no fun, no strategy.

imo the cheats are only interested in doing so because the mp was linked to the sp game, they have no interest in the leaderboards they just want %100 on the map as fast as possable and i do agree that it ruins the game for other players in a match.

That makes no sense as it takes little time to get to 100% on Bronze waves, a week at most. The kind of farming they are doing would easily take more time than grinding to 100% readiness.

The only cheater I've ran into so far had modified his/her Avenger to do massive damage.  He was mowing down atlas mechs in half a clip on silver difficulty and his reloads were instant.  I was amused at the show this person was putting on and for the most part the rest of us on the team just watched him do his thing because there wasn't much we could do because stuff went down so quickly.  I remember the person was playing a quarian infiltrator, I noted that because before we started the match I was looking at their setup in the lobby trying to decide which weapon I should bring to compliment the team and wondered why an infiltrator would be bringing an avenger into the match.
*SNIP*

i didn't see it so i dont know but the right combination of mods and a really high level rail amp might be able to do that.

i have a geth infiltrator build. give it armor piercing rounds plus a shotgun amp II and the damage bonus from firing while cloaked. Now add a Claymore with a smart choke and high calibre barrel to that equation and i can take a atlas down to half armor in one shot. but the trick with that build is how to get away fast enough since the cloak takes alot longer to recharge. also mob difficulty drasticly changes based on the level of play this same build will bring the atlas to quarter armor in bronze. and in gold it really only does about a quarter armor damage.

@ Bioware

One of the cheats i am aware of is one that ignores one hit kill moves

however i really dont feel angry with them and frankly in my opinion Bioware should have added a quicktime event to banshee and phantom finishing moves. or just make it a incapacitation rather than kill.

either way a cheat like that is more like a player made patch to fix broken game mechanics than a cheat. especially since surivival depends greatly on the ability of teammates to REVIVE their fallen comerads

No
Text Chat (cant type in a multiplayer game... WHAT) And if you do this
dont mess up like Battlefield 3 did and put the chat all in your Face
... nice cosy spot in the upper left hand of the screen would be nice

No Mute Options (cant mute the guy blasting gansta rap or calling everyone on the team Fing Noobs)

*SNIP*

Agree with lack of text chat sent many angry messages to bioware.
as for people calling teammates Fing noobs. Seriously maby you have a full friends list with Gold rolling players but 9 times out of 10 random qued matches have like one good player and 3 Fing noobs or at the very least people who cant hear voice chat for some reason or another.

in fact in my weeks of playing i only probibally played 6 matches where people actually used voice for tactics and organization the rest of the matches usually ended with me kiting 5 atlases ant taking me about 30 min to finish them all with nothing but a shuriken

Please also add the Origin ID/Gamertag/PSN ID of the supposed cheater
along with the time of your match(es) with HIM and why you think this user has been cheating.

dont assume it will always be a him that is cheating bioware...

Your statement can only make sense if we assume that people are only playing so that they might receive credits so they can buy more packs.... for some reason.

Who gets hurt?  Anyone who plays the game for fun or challenge.  If I wanted someone else to play the game for me I wouldn't be playing myself.

Cheating is So Far from the Actual Problems this multiplayer really has....... 12 yr online gaming vet here so flail away young padwan

No ingame Text Chat
No Ingame Buddy System
No Cheat Detection
No Way to mute abusive or loud players
No Clear Goal......................

Other than Residual Income from DLC Releases.....(Does Carrot and Stick ring a bell)

Text chat? I couldn't agree more! Not everyone wants to plug his mic.
Cheat detection? It's complicated cause you're not playing on any server. It's more like...LAN over Internet (sth like this).
Mute players? Well you can mute audio chat in options any time.

And about "innovations" I'd like to see - except text chat I mentioned - would be better match making. I mean to set your region bacause if I'm in Europe it's dumb to connect with people in Australia / South Asia, right?

WHERE IS THE BANHAMMER?
I have seen posts and videos here which disgust me: that is the reason why I will soon leave the game behind if BANHAMMER doesn't show up and we will know who is banned and who is not, so EA will be left only with cheating players which will rip off theyr e-wallets even more...Nice job EA keep up the good work (much sarcasm on the last sentence)

that doesent sound like cheating that sounds like a zombie survival mod and a awesome one at that

Bioware needs to regress to the never witner nights days when they not only allowed modding but activly encouraged it by bundling advanced toolsets with each game and making the games filestructure very easy to modify.

it is a shame that ea has given them the copyright / DRM STD and it is slowly rotting their brains like ciphalis.

MODDING MAKES GAMES MORE FUN AND REPLAYABLE.

People are more likley to purchase old games for the mods that come out. people are STILL buying cpies of NWN and it is going on 10 years old !!!!

why oh why did atari ever sell bioware to EA

my biggest concern is the ban hammer hitting players who joined modded lobbies unknowingly rather than those actively cheating and hosting the games

what i would love to see is ea have two seperate multiplayer master lists one for vanilla and one for modded multiplayer servers. keep character profiles and credits totally seperate. so people who want to just mod and have fun can host these servers in a safe non cheating environment and those of us who want to play vanilla can just log into the vanilla area.

The problem for me is not modding in general, the real problem is people who get uber amounts of credits in a non legit way

Text chat in a shooting game? Good luck finding the time except a quick message between waves.

Just had a game with Orumac on the PC a few minutes ago, he was using a rapid fire Widow. Didn't realize it until the last round because he tended to stay away from the team, but he was definitely cheating.

A quick Google search showed that he's been flagged by someone else too:

That video shows him using the same cheat with a Mantis, it was exactly the same for me just now but for the fact that he was using a Widow.

Interestingly I was the leader for this game, so however he's doing it works even though he's not hosting it.

I just had the weirdest game ever. Not sure if wicked bugs or cheats
Glacier/Ceberus/Gold
1. Damge from enemy splash weapon not registering. Stagger yes, no damage
2. Phatoms hand gun no damage, but insta-kill extremly potent and robust
Weird thing is that my teammates seemed to die often enough. I was not a host and had tinest of lags.
Also, what really got me thinking cheats is fact that we rocked it with 18N7 level 6 engineer.
Cheats or coolest of bugs?

What's the turnaround time for this? Last Friday I sent an e-mail detailing a problem I've had for weeks (that EA "Help" refused to do anything about because they had no "ingame access") and haven't received any replies.
