I just got into a lobby and game with two people who are in a party together and one of them is cheating.
System: Xbox 360
Cheaters Gamertag: FierceDeceiver
Map: Firebase Hydra
Description of Cheat: At the back of the base near the Waterfalls on the Hydro Dam, he was able to get on a structire that is near the opposite end of the stage entrance towards the waterfalls. It is on the black lip right above the water that angles out so that he can back up when attacked to be 100% safe from damage and than just fire back and kill everything at his leisure. He just walked over to the two crates and somehow jumped up there. He was a Human Sentinel (for damage protectio maybe?).
One of the other players left imediately and his friends GT is Wolfman Xlll and my Gamertag is Carpetfresh. I Left at wave 4 because I was typing this as I was watching him and by the time I was done typing this is the wave that it was at.
That would be a terrible idea and hope it never gets implemented. Some poor sap might get kicked last wave and lose all exp and creds they would've gotten just because that majority are d-bags or got in an argument or something stupid and no real fault of anyones.Lord Irvine wrote...

The server should auto kick if you if you dont move after a fixed time say 45 seconds. Or fire your weapons
Things like that are easy to get past. The only true way to stop it is to give the party the option to kick the non-playing player in-game.

I am familiar with the credit farming glitch/exploit. It hurts no one and requires cooperation of the entire team/lobby. Probably cannot be fixed as it would have been already. Shouldn't be fixed. If people didn't have to invest an absurd amount of time to gain access to the content they have already paid for, than they would not hack or exploit. I paid full price for the game (more in fact because its the CE), is it fair that i may never unlock all the weapons, mods, or characters because i have a life? Bioware created this problem, they shouldn't punish others for simply wanting what they paid for.
See, this is probably the stupidest argument I've ever heard against the unlock system. Because "I paid for the game and should have instant access to the content". It's like you've NEVER played a video game before in your entire life. I mean, it's not like UNLOCKS have been a staple of video gaming since the earliest mainstream consoles- it's not like they had special REWARDS for beating the game, or beating the game a certain way, or within a certain time, or a certain number of times. It's not like every other Multiplayer game requires you to actually put in EFFORT to get new weapons or characters. Except it IS like that because that's what everybody does.
If you want to ask for a system that gives you weapons based on the things you ACHIEVE in multiplayer, ask for that- but don't pull out this half-baked argument that because you paid full-price, you shouldn't have to unlock anything.
Agreed but the only problem with that is that there are ways around that. In Halo Reach, AFKers in Firefight and MM would just tape/rubberband down the joystick and trigger. Unless BW/EA has or can get a system to detect that, we're pretty much stuck with them.Jungle Quack wrote...

I agree that being able to kick people is not neccecary, however booting for inactivity seems fine. I really dislike people who join lobbies with my friends and I on gold, then goes inactive while we play and he gets rewarded. If a player hasn't moved for an extended period of time they should be booted,

What's the turnaround time for this? Last Friday I sent an e-mail detailing a problem I've had for weeks (that EA "Help" refused to do anything about because they had no "ingame access") and haven't received any replies.

Kenton91634 is hosting public lobbies with a game modded to be purely husk rushes.
that doesent sound like cheating that sounds like a zombie survival mod and a awesome one at that
Bioware needs to regress to the never witner nights days when they not only allowed modding but activly encouraged it by bundling advanced toolsets with each game and making the games filestructure very easy to modify.
it is a shame that ea has given them the copyright / DRM STD and it is slowly rotting their brains like ciphalis.
MODDING MAKES GAMES MORE FUN AND REPLAYABLE.
People are more likley to purchase old games for the mods that come out. people are STILL buying cpies of NWN and it is going on 10 years old !!!!
why oh why did atari ever sell bioware to EA

System: Xbox 360
Gamertag: Taggerrung396
Map: Firebase Ghost
Faction: Cerberus
Challenge: Silver
Cheat: AFKing. He was the first to ready up and then he would mash A to live and then when he got revived, he would Get back into cover.
Edit: He came back in the middle of Wave 9 saying he was never there because of a "Phone Emergency" and had to go outside for his cell reception. Then how was he able to perfectly know when he was out of cover and just respawned back to life when he was't close enough to a wall to bounce to it? If you AFK you're cheating, it's a detriment to the other players experience and that goes against Microsofts TOU for a proper banning. When he was playing during wave 9 and 10 and evac, he never revived anyone and he only went for the objectives and as soon as they were acquired, he ran at his foes with out using his powers or using cover to die.

Its possible. Especially if he was a Krogran Battlemaster as he gets shield replenishes every time he uses charge.alfiejr wrote...

A better solution would be for the system to boot any player who has zero damage done over an entire round (maybe two considering first few are so short) Would also get rid of these tools who come in and then afk for free points.
